  1. Flakko- dude you are too classy. you should have chimed in way earlier. i have a feeling that the 600DE kicks out more than 600 watts. this amp is by far the most efficient amp i have owned- and i have had pretty much all of them. lets say the thing kicks out 700-750??? is there a reason why that wouldn't make a 12Q Jam? didnt see the post would you mind doing a review on the AX 600de and comparing it to the other amps youve used? again, dont forget ask for the soft spiders...scott recommended them to me when i was sub searching with limited power.
  2. the ax line = same quality as the old school edit: while the tubes havent impressed many, here, the SS amps are great.
  3. I think i remember JR saying the 600DE can put out around 700-750w. dont quote me on that tho, ill ask and lyk on monday. either way, i think going with the the SSD is your better bet. Also might try asking scott to put some soft spiders to get a little more out of your sub.
  4. it all depends on the boxes they were in. where the boxes optimal for the cvr's?

eh RE = mainly for B&M dealers and FI for the enthusiast DIY indernet crowd...as far as pricing goes at least.

  12. any time
  13. here is a quote from npdang the mod at DIYMA. I think he explains it best: edit: to answer your questions, yes. just dont go beyond the speakers thermal or mechanical limits. and dont send a clipped signal, speakers don't like them.
  14. i wouldn't worry about playin it soft for the first X number of hours. Ive let all the subs i put in wang right out of the box and nothing blew up. but subs and speakers in general DO break in...once the suspension loosens up, it will get louder, and in some cases sound better
  15. heh. this is the longest ive waited to get the stuff for a system...im goin crazy, and what you said is EXACTLY what im gonna do My pran and goals for the next 6 months or so: 1. I need to get the subs first because the Pre order is gonna end soon. hopefully the subs are gonna be keepers 2. I decided to pickup an Alpine 9835 for 250 locally and wait to see what alpine has in store for 2008...if i dont like it, ill stay with the 9835 till i see a unit that meets my standards. I'm going to use the stock jbl speaks and amp for the time being, sounds pretty good actually. Also gonna buy the rest of the wiring stuff i need. 3. I think then im gonna spend a couple hundred on Raamat products and deaden the crap out of my car, and run the wires while its gutted. somewhere in between 2 and 3 - For the mids, ima get a set of alumapro ALC 5.25" mids for 70 shipped to mate with my seas neos along with the mdf wood for my amp rack and box. the wood obviously is going to be a keeper, Along with the mids, im going to pickup an md1d and md42 to finally go active and get some bass. - after all that fun stuff is done, im going to replace the alumapro's with some Seas nextels, get an md21 for the tweets and use the md42 bridged at 8 ohms for the mids. only THEN will my system be complete....i hope this is gonna be expensive
  16. lol indeed. nah dont have it all yet so far ive got most of the wire and thats about it. within the next 2 months i should be able to get the subs and the HU. my job cut my hours cuz school was interfering. Once the semester ends on the 19th ill but up at a full 20 hours a week again
