If your voltage is only dropping to low 14s you are fine then. Unless you want to spend the extra money, its up to you. This is what I would do.. Do the big three and then monitor your voltage and see if your headlights are still dimming. Then make the decision from there.

That should work fine. What's your voltage drop right now? You might not even need an Additional battery.

Have you tried taking a flat head screwdriver to the vehicles plastic panels. Right below the drivers seat, they come up rather easy and conceal it just fine.

I have the 9886 with H100, and I am very happy with the setup. What did you hear was noisy on these units? Agreed. I used to have the 9883 model and loved it. Looking into either the 9886/9887 model as well. I think the 9887 would be a better investment, but then again i havnt looked into the 9886 model enough yet.

If I were you I would just test it outside of the box and try pressing up on the bad side terminals. If that doesn't work then I would inspect the sub alittle more like checking the coils.
