Hey All , so I've got an Termlab , RTA software also included , but there's no mircohpone when I ordered the RTA software it wasnt clear to me I needed te mirophone so I'm missing a piece , I can measure but Termlab selects the laptops own microphone this is FAR from ideal ! so I could order the termlab mic , but I was wondering if there are any preferably cheaper and "as good as" alternatives would Alpines mic work for instance ?

did you measure anything before tweaking (RTA)? and that foam : how wil that react with water , will it absorb or ... ? nice to see people on SSA making an effort on their front stage !! good stuff !

assumption is the mother of all fuckups ! that said , yes it could be ,it could even read 12.9 volt at the amp and not be able to draw current .

thought the ODR system was the best available at the moment .

sure , TS is gonna know what that means ... SA-12 is a sundown audio sub the AP1500 is an audiopipe not sure about the amp though , , I'd rather buy a refurb or seconds hand for that money

asked him , and indeed it was the old m1 (8.5kw rated) ..replaced it with an Cactus amp (7kw rated) and gained a full DB in exactly the same config don't know anyone with DD amps personally and neighter have I ever owned one myself, so I would never comment on that .

their site says its scandianavian (and good chance production is korean) . eighter way , a friend owned one of those amps but had difficulties getting real power out of it even though his electrical was on par , switched to multiple smaller amps that combined had the same rms rating and measured way more output + a lot better score . dont remember exactly what the amp had in terms of output , but nowhere near rated specs another issue with those amps is that the board may/will break loose from the housing due to vibrations (bass) , but that an issue for most of the 7 / 8 Kw amps

Good point! Although they could swap out to a different dustcap. That might look a little suspicious though. I believe he had somewhere in the 60s this is what makes the smd's unsellable ..I'd keep an eye out on ebay ... different dustcap doenst work on these things and would be very suspicious . just saw it , very sorry to see such a nice install been ripped apart ,hope you go with another set of SMD's (maybe 18's ?)

I own an SMD and wouldnt personally recommend it for SPL oriented applications .....the SMD is one of those subs thats gets louder the lower you tune it .
