i would get two pair of AA components but if thats an issue to put it together, with having no crossover. i installed some lower end focal speakers which are better than most speakers and they sounded great. i sell infinities out of those i would get the kappas, not the kappa perfects, kappas are run at 2 ohm which you willl get the max out your amp plus they are cheaper. i could go on with brands but its up to you when you hear them which i would do before i bought them.

i spent 2500 just on 2 amps and and two subs, he'll need to double that for his set up, thats 5 grand. my two fifteen will be louder than his 4 18's if the 18 are ran on kole amps.

sundown 1000d @2ohms if they are single 4ohm, if they are single 2 ohm series them and run the same amp at 4ohms which would be great for you.

you must not know about sundown, you should be more worried about what alternators and how many batteries you need.

Hey i install at bestbuy, i know i have an addiction when i oreder the sax 100.4 preorder the saz 3500d about to purchase the nightshade but waiting to see if the version 2 come out , have 2 pair of 300.00 3 way components and no freaken car to put it in. and when i do buy my car in a couple weeks i am buying my car around what size box i could build for my 2 x15 and still not seal of the trunk to the cabin. thats love will only but a car that can fit 8-9 cubes in the trunk. might have to get an suv.

i dont think jvc has high quality deck besides one off the new 09 models we have that is HD built in, thats all. you nees one with a great EQ and quality. there is a great pioneer one i would look into on the SSA Shop that i better quality that the jvc.

my buddy wasted his money on kole audio, after telling him to not get it, they fried and now we call them charcole audio.

only thing i like is the 5v pre out, so i can set the gain a little higher, but i sell jvc and i really dont care for the product but then again we only carry the cheaper ones and there 4 inch single din monitor dvd palyer. mixed feelings

i agree at my work(bestbuy installer) we have basic units for 100 buck plus you get a warranty and a place to take it to if any problems. look at the kenwood 242, pioneer 1100 or the sony 130. i would go with the kenwood or pioneer.

sundown is doin good in the sq comps, and if everyone says they are comparable then i guess look at price... im happy with my saz 100.4. ill let you know if im happy with my 3500d when i comes in.

i actually like the alphasonik, i sell and install rockford at my work(bestbuy install) they are good amps but get hot. i have three alphasonik amps and are very happy. ive only used one and the other two are new still. if its a mono amp it's ok to run a one ohm. if it's a two channel alphasonik i would only run it at two ohms, minimum.

if your thinking about kicker you might as well get a sub off audible customs and have him build you an oversize box for ht for free and sent it all to you. plus the insignia product is chit. i do car audio installs for bestbuy and that is our store brand. we have someone build it for us and put our name on it.

i know mark said not to go with the xcons, but if you would like loud with good quality i would go with the xcons. skip on the mainstream subs they are a waste of money. learn about products and people who do it for more love not money(cause everyone does it for money no matter what) and you end up with great equipment from this forum.

i didn't purchase them yet, because still deciding about the no crossover issue. you could find a dealer in the AA forum and if your in cali like me, then you'll have to buy them from an out of the state dealer. ill let him give you the pricing. but they are awesome speakers.

so it would be the quote you gave me in the pm plus a hundred for the crossover x2.

does anyone know how hard it is to put together a crossover. i know the concept of a crossover and some components of it, but dont know if i want to take on the task im sure its easy for some. i talked to a dealer but i would want to have the components and not know how to put the crossover together.
