  1. Sounds like the dsp to be honest, I had similar issues with a Dayton DSP last year. I havent played with the Helix to know if thats some type of setting in the software or something. But to rule it out, unplug the DSP if you can and run the system without it.
  2. It's official, going 2 8"s per front door, rear door 6.5"s have been removed already. Sucks to see these beautiful speakers and nice rings go after only being in for a month in a half but on to better things. I covered the hole with some thick egg crate dampening.
  3. Since my OCD was bothering me I swapped out to more Audison Connection RCAs.
  4. I broke 140 dbs playing DJ Russticals - I'm the man, had my sunroof all the way open so that's a cheater score. With my sunroof closed the loudest I was at was 137 dbs, frequency changed by 1hz. All of this is with the gain low as I'm still breaking the subwoofer in. I love this little thing, it brought fun back to having bass and slamming, trying to guess your score or frequency. Hey Aaron can these be left in the car even when not in use or can certain weather temps cause issues? Thanks
  5. I almost did at least twice but once I started I knew I couldn't turn back. When I say it took everything out of me, my mouth was dry as hell and one forearm was sore till the next day.
  6. A little SSA love for the build log, I've been eyeing these since they first came out.
  7. Front Stage will be changed out soon, I'm damn sure keeping the horns. Mids will only be in the front doors, no more rear door fill. Options are: Two 8"s per front door (Stevens Audio MB8-2) - Or - One 10" per front door (Faital Pro 10PR300)
  8. Got it wired up this afternoon, it's on low power as it breaks in. Sounds damn good, glad I went back with Fi. I love how that Audio Control lights up from the top, its pretty dope especially since it matches blue light theme I have going on.
  9. Once I carried the box downstairs and put it in the trunk I didn't even wire it up. I just closed the trunk and locked the doors. I'm wore out, sheesh.
  10. For my power needs it will come down to weight in space. Not that I'm concerned that much with weight. But if I can keep a spare tire in my car and avoid putting two group 31s down there, then it will be a win win to go lithium.
  11. In the process of figuring out how to go lithium, don't want to throw another group 31 on my trunk. Looking into an H/O Alternator as well.
  12. Took the day off to get this done, battery is finally mounted. Box is screwed down to car itself and wedged between foam spare tire holder and car's side panel, used a mallet to get this done. Looks damn good if I say so myself. Time to throw the sub enclosure in
  13. Got rid of some zip ties and added wire loom for remote start wire and DSP power/ground wire.
  14. After some more critical listening I decided to change my crossover point some more. I like more SPL than SQ so upping them some to protect them will be best for my needs. Mids 100-1200hz @ 24db Horns 1200hz @ 24 db
  15. I'm not against Rockford and love there products. But you can still get quality products and stretch that 3-4k a lot more. Do you plan on adding a secondary battery, h/o alternator? How much power are you wanting to run? Any goals you want to achieve with this system?
  16. Honestly I got lucky with what was playing on the radio since I can't record a video and play music on my Bluetooth. But yes Tevin Campbell is dope.
  17. Eric Stevens has been really helpful with suggestions not on just his horns but my Faital Pro mids as well. Horns = 1000hz @ 24db Mids = 100hz - 1000hz @ 24db
  18. I've tweaked the amps crossover settings some and the music has more depth and detail now than the videos from yesterday. I still haven't pulled out the laptop again to play with DSP settings since setting it up the first night. Horns = 1400hz @ 24db Mids = 80hz - 1400hz @ 24db
  19. She is finally playing right, this car was tricky and picky. At first after installing everything I lost volume control with radio and steering wheel controls. I could only control the bluetooth since it's dependent on the phone volume. The am/fm setting blast at full volume with no way to turn down. Finally got it down and playing. Pictures to come once I get them from the installer. Subs should be in within the next week or two, hopefully sooner but I need to remount the trunk battery first. Quick videos with no tuning at all, just picked some crossover points for now. 20211217_175037.mp4 20211217_175050.mp4
  20. Don't think I heard of them but did look them up. RSR Group is the big distributor down here in this area.
