I only have the old ID minis to experiment with, since these bodies came in not so stellar shape I bit the bullet and bought some ES bodies yesterday. None so far as I'm looking at new drivers for them at the moment.

The horns are bolt-on pattern as well as the Dayton drivers, either 2 or 3 bolt.

Well, i'm thinking about it right now, I have all the time in the world to decide what to do with it. If you sat in Zach Metts Astro, or Navid's Expedition, you would probably agree with me on this Didn't mean to neg you, small mobile screen FTL. Yeah those vehicles are downright nasty, BP's work when you know what your doing.

Id rather go new, just avoids the hassle if any. Just a personal preference but as long as the Orion works then its a go.

Slowly but surely this build is getting complete. Chop that signature of yours slows down the loading of this page, especially when using mobile mode.

What made you go the Dayton route for your compression driver? Lately I been thinking about just getting some horn bodies from Eric Stevens and experimenting with my own drivers. Thanks for any input.

That's the thing nowadays, people either can't chop music correctly or get tired of it sometimes so now they just slow it. I admit chopping does get old and annoying especially when it makes a song almost 10 minutes long. The Adele does sound good.

I had 2 15 ssd subs powered by a aq2200 and was able to hit 148.9 db with them in a 7 cubic foot box tuned to 36hz.How does this help him buy a subwoofer or make a decision, there could be someone saying they have BDs on 1500 watts doing 150db. So now he would think the BDs are louder and his best bet.

None of those questions will give you an answer to properly help make your decision. Answers to help were already provided and you chose to argue them with your limited knowledge of the DAD BD series subwoofers just because Twistedchild420 runs them. Which makes no sense like he is the end of all when it comes to car audio. If you like the BDs then keep them, that way you only have to buy 3 more. If not then try an Fi woofer and see for yourself, you won't regret it.

Daily driving and musical woofer..cooling technology is the same that is / was used and develooped in the BTL woofers. No other woofers have it simply because they are not machined in house to order. The SSD with standard leads, standard copper coil, and cooling is my favorite sub personally.Nick, what about that particular SSD combination makes it your favorite sub?
