  1. x2, just because you lived in an area that is crime free or a nice suburb dont think for one second you are safe. Reality is that people rob, kill etc. in any neighborhood. Someone could of followed you home or been following you for a while. You gotta be smarter than the robbers at all times, that even means when your riding around bumping. Unless you live in the white house or a heavily gated community then you or your property are not safe.
  2. If a speaker has a sensitivity of 100db and a rating of 100rms, it doesnt need the full 100rms to reach a 100db or higher. It will take 100rms continuously in the right application while outputting 100db's. The ohm load of an amplifier or speaker wont make it louder at all, regardless if its a 8 ohm mid/4 ohm mid or 2 ohm mid. The higher the ohm load on a amplifier does produce more wattage but you lose efficiency as well so its a give take relationship. The lower ohm load is there on pa speakers because most people or clubs run a lot of them together so it helps wit the final ohm load. I have put a 100 watt selenium 6w4p on a 50 watt amp, 200 watt amp and 500 watt amplifier. You couldnt hear a difference between the 50 watt and 200 watt amplifier except for some peaks that are in the music but nothing audible really. The 500 watt amplifier just made the driver distort and bottom out quicker, so hopefully my experience can help you or at least give you an understanding on how pa speakers work.
  3. cool story bro and way to go about jinxing yourself
  4. I actually like the older models body style better than the 2012 one.
  5. that sucks, why didnt you have it in the garage?
  6. I have a pair of 4 ohm mids, the Powerbass 4xl-65-92. They have been powered once to make sure they work, if interested send me a pm. Just a heads up to you, a driver does not need a lot of power to keep up with those crescendo's. Your gonna need mids with a higher sensitivity if you want to try and keep up with those supertweeters.
  7. cant wait for the build log
  8. Fi doesnt have dealers so go through Fi to get recones.
  9. Naw they have different models, me and you have the same one or similar models which is the Epic-160. You can turn it on or off and change how much you add to it, this is a single din which is used in the cabin usually within fingertips reach. The OP has the ones that are mounted in the trunk, so they dont have an on off feature. They are continuously on since they arent in fingertips reach to do any adjusting.

Uhh no I'm not an asshole. I don't rattle people's houses in neighborhoods or shake rear view mirrors at stoplights. If my windows are down, my music is off. So if being respectful to others makes me all high and mighty then so be it. Dont take everything personal, if you dont do it then so be it. But believe you me there are people who say thats disrespectful but they are out there jamming windows down at stop lights. Just cause you have your bass down doesnt mean you arent still being disrespectful.
  12. Yeah for some reason they do
  13. Not a problem
  14. It will be 380 watts x 1 @ 4 ohms
  15. Its only bashing when you read it with emotions
  16. Sounds great, thats good to know to future reference. I didnt even know they sold those things.
  17. now thats tough
  18. Yeah the Audioque will be a good amplifier to use and do as lithium stated above.
  19. That's what i'm saying, how are you going to own a building that works on high class cars and you don't have liability insurance??? Even if you paid by paypal you should of still received an invoice, every time you order online you will receive an invoice(receipt) with the package when it arrives. With paypal, remember to write your own description, who the product is going to and where the product is going to save your own ass. Sorry to hear about all this, hopefully it will get sorted out soon. I never heard of a shop holding your vehicle for work, not responsible for damages or liabilities. That is what liability insurance is for unless they dont have any and if so I wouldnt of went there in the first place.
  20. Since your starting out from scratch I wouldnt recommend running more than 2000 watts to the BTL regardless of what you heard or youtube videos you have seen, take baby steps if you have to. Im not saying dont get a BTL, im saying dont try to jump in the 12ft of the pool if you never been swimming before. Once you learn your sytem and its limits then you can start experiencing with more power an so on, if its for daily then you wont notice a difference between a 2000 watt amp and a 3000 watt amp.
  21. Buy whatever you can afford? Read the rules before posting again bro, nobody can suggest a 150db system off the top of there head with no budget, space restraints and so on.
