  1. Stop yelling, what amount of room does he have available? Get his maximum dimensions and find out how much he can put back there, what is this going in?
  2. No kidding that the dash is not our friend. We've (Ray, Jimmy, me) have been messing with tweeter position for 3 weeks with not "great break through". Haven't been able to enlist Mike yet because of our schedules. Going to the new 6 and new x-over is a great help, but not there yet. Ray and I messed with it a couple of hours Sunday afternoon. Jimmy and I bounced ideas for 2 hours Monday evening. Not there yet, but I have a set of pillars full of screw holes. Use velcro for temporary mounting locations to avoid having multiple screw holes in your panels and pillars.
  3. x2, go take some measurements and give us some numbers to work with.
  4. Never heard of them, this is news to me
  5. Depends on a lot of factors such as competing/daily, box size, listening habits, goals and so on.
  6. you buy them and ship em to me sorry were not all made out of money or atleast have our daddy pay for everthing some of us actually have to earn our own shit Wow. You get bent pretty easily, huh? I gave you a straight answer to a stupid f*ckin question and you start heading to left field. I pay for ALL my own shit. My dad passed away when I was seven, so a blanket statement like that is also quite ignorant. Any more brilliant topics you would like to discuss? x2, ask a better question and you will get a better answer. Next time read the new topic guidelines before posting to make an effective topic that will help you and others on the board. Dont let your emotions get in the way it is just a forum, take the answers you receive and move on its not that serious.
  7. Dont use a DMM, use your ears to set your gains. Play mids by themselves and listen for stressing and distortion, then do the same for tweeters and so on till you have your gains set. Set your radio no higher than 75% or your normal listening levels if under the 75% volume barrier of your max volume on your headunit. Turn your gain up till you reach desirable listening levels without stress and distortion. Basically the gain is there to match the signal preout voltage of your headunit.
  8. That is your problem right there, there is no way a 1500 watt amplifier can get the power it needs to perform. You cant make power if you dont have power, you need to get: a secondary battery, voltmeter and do the Big 3 Wiring. What size is your stock alternator?
  9. A lotta fail in this thread
  10. Give us a budget and goals to work with so we can help you get your decision made.
  11. Well in all from Knukonceptz I have: 3-Klarity RCA's, 50 ft. Karma SS 14 Gauge wire for front stage, 8 ft. of Karma 10 Gauge wire for subs, 8 ft. of 4 gauge Kolossus Flex power wire for front stage amp, 6 ft. of KLMX 1/0 for sub amp, 8 ft. of 1/0 Kolossus Flex power wire for battery to distribution wiring. I acquired all this over the last few months, the last of the order was the KLMX wire for my sub amp (wire shipped today).
  12. Is the Optima Red Top the secondary battery or the main starting battery under the hood? Have you done the Big 3 wiring?
  13. , sounds good.
  14. If you wired each sub down to one ohm then you are not at a 2 ohm load, you are at 0.5 ohms. Each sub should be wired like this: This way each sub is wired in series to 4 ohms, then when added together the load will be 2 ohms.
  15. Really will be install dependent but usually more cone area wins.
  16. Keep it coming, nice looking cars and great equipment with an excellent set of tools to work with. :fing34:
  17. No problem , just ordered some wire myself.
  18. Looking good so far, keep up the good work :fing34:
  19. Make sure you do that and more pictures
  20. x2, Good Question. Better yet what are your goals, are you stuck on SSA subs, what vehicle, do you have the electrical to back up the amp and any more information you would like to share with us about the install.
