I've seen this too many times
Peak power is what sales and not RMS, some people dont even pay attention to rms and say my amp was $100 but it has 5500 watts peak so Im gonna be loud. It kills me everytime.

anyone seen rockford punches on a tl
You have nothing to worry about with your current equipment compared to your friends system, unless he is a competitor and highly tuned box.

anyone seen rockford punches on a tl
Your going about this ass backwards, if your looking to do a system in your car then give us information to help you but wondering what subs hit on a TL will be useless to you. Everyone has different goals, it will come down to the install, every vehicle acts different, etc. I could go on.

Running a Z15 DVC4 off a SAE1000D
I honestly havent heard the Z15 in a box yet, I finally hooked it up to one channel on my SAX-125.2 for about 5 minutes today and did a little free air but that was it. Clipping has nothing to do if an amp is underrated or not, it will clip regardless. Prefab sealed boxes shouldnt be bad as long as it fits the enclosure size recommended so you should be cool.

Strange Distorted signal
Just stop playing it before you damage your amp or something else until you get it checked, hopefully it is nothing to serious.

Strange Distorted signal
A DMM is wise to have but it sounds like you should just head up to an auto store (like Auto Zone) and ask them to test your alternator and battery. Your battery and/or alternator are failing you if your dropping that low especially with only 500 watts at the most coming from your SAX-125.2

There is no problem with underpowering a subwoofer at all, you will be fine with 600 watts.

Not Enough Power?
Those are peak ratings number one, so dont plan to put that much power on them. Yes an amp will make them sound better than a headunit would, will it be louder (maybe or maybe not, that depends on the speakers themselves and what they can do).

100.4?
This will depend on what the speakers can handle, how high you plan on playing your sub. So give us more information so someone can help you.

alternator to run 4000 rms?
haha, my meter reads that without any ho alternator but only when the car is first turned on. yeah but keep that running hot and have current to back it up just messing with Mac N Cheese, that is what the HO Alternator is for. OP if possible I would try and get a HO Alternator as big as you can (250A or better if you can find one). What batteries and other electrical will be acquired?

low notes send amp into protect
Like said earlier: give more information on your electrical, dont use bass boost period, make sure your amp can handle a 1 ohm load and set your gains correctly. Regardless of the amps guts, it will only send out so much power (doesnt matter if it puts out 300 or 600 watts, it will only put that out and no more). Either your not giving it enough power, your running at an ohm load the amp cant handle or your trying to make the amp do a lot of power it is not capable of (remember it is not the SAZ-1500D). If everything is up to par then just turn it down till you get your amp back, pretty much all you can do for now.

Hi Guys!! and Gals?
- SAZ 1000D sub wiring question
Yeah basically thats what it will do, so select the switch for 2 ohms on each subwoofer and wire each subwoofer to its own terminal. The amp will will drop the load to 1 ohm for you. Hope that helps- Where to buy 2/0 AWG Wire?
he will need 2/0 or larger because he'll be running two 3500's do 2/0 to battery bank then 1/0 to the amplifiers. Basically what I meant, just use 1/0 to the amplifiers but thanks for the elaboration.- Where to buy 2/0 AWG Wire?
You dont need 2/0 awg for an amp, just get 1/0 awg and call it a day. If you want to use 2/0 awg, then use it to do the Big 3.- Post pictures of your amp rack here
Search Feature: Post Your Amp Rack Pics !! - SSA Car Audio Forum Your best bet would be to go through build logs to get ideas, maybe a long process but you will get more ideas and pictures going that route.- 93 Fleetwood Caddy build.
I had to rate this topic with 5 stars, with every post it gets better and better. Keep up the great work man.- alternator to run 4000 rms?
