Breaking Up Hurts
I used to love to crash parties back in college, maan that used to be the best. Especially the sorority parties, those were the best to crash and get a couple of numbers at the same time; now that is what I call a win win situation.

Breaking Up Hurts
Its not the story but merely the contents of the story, nowadays with car audio having such a bad rep we done condone using your system where it affects others that are not inside your ride. You gotta think about there neighbors, if they are old or have kids that were asleep and so on. Not getting your rocks off because you didnt get let into a party, that was kinda lame to me to break up the party the way you did if you ask. You should of just found something else to do to get in or moved on with your life. But to each its own.

What did you use on the inside of the port area? Was it just black spray paint, any sanding or primer added? When I built boxes I never did this and seen many people who have and was curious since Im building a new box sometime next month.

New Setup, Starting from Zero. Tips Welcomed!
It is not really built in at all, it is what seperates the two rca's from each other. Imagine some rca's with a 18awg or whatever size wire it is in between it, you could also remove the wire and it will seperate the rca's from each other so they wont be attached.

Welcome to the IHoP
I have had great results from XS / SVR / Optima / Stinger / Deka. Yeah I have had great success with Optima Batteries in the past also, the only problem is after reading there site it states you shouldnt mix two different brand batteries. Considering I will be adding a 100AH or better AGM battery to the mix, I would be mixing batteries. I always heard it wasnt a problem but if Optima is saying it shouldnt be done should I still do it?

A nice setup for you would be 2 - Sundown Audio SA-12"s or 2 - Inciminator Audio Lethal Injection 12"s and a SAE-1200v2. You will need to do the Big 3 wiring upgrades and get a nice size secondary battery depending on how big your stock alternator is and if you will have any other amps in your setup. The subs are $200 each and amp is around $300.

What is your budget on subs? What is your budget on electrical upgrades? Are you gonna build your own box or get one built for you?

Welcome to the IHoP
Quick Question for you fellas, Im wanting to upgrade my starting battery to either a Optima Red Top, Optima Yellow Top, Shuriken SK-BT60 or Sk-BT80, XS Power S3400 or Kinetik HC1400 or 1800. I dont have a budget but I dont want to buy the most expensive one if the others will do fine, so price is not a factor. It will eventually be accompanied with a 100AH or better AGM battery (Shuriken, XS Power or Kinetik) for my sytems needs. It will be going in a Saturn Ion-2 with a 105 amp alternator, if you need anymore info let me know. I decided to post this here to get some quick and good replies without being filled with clutter. ** My stock location is in the trunk and can fit a battery up to 11".

Noise help
Yeah trust me I have been there on the skimping idea just to get by and where I skimped at years ago is still causing me to spend money till this day to do it right. Now it is do it right or dont do it all, glad we could be of some assistance.

Damn Duran we made the last two post at the same time, your a few seconds a head of me

I would run it at 4 ohms to be honest with to not take any risk in ruining the sub. But yeah very low gains and great control on the volume knob.
-
Sealed Trunk
x2, that makes no sense. Why does a certain car manufacturing company not good for sealing off trunks?

It doesnt need 1200 watts to perform well at all, that is a misconception in car audio. There is no such thing as underpowering a subwoofer at all.

New Setup, Starting from Zero. Tips Welcomed!
Honestly I cant speak on those cables but not worth it to me when these $7cables do the job which is pull the signal from the headunit to the amps. Now if they didnt do that then I would have amost $300 worth in rca cables in the car. To me its a personal preference and if you feel those $80 rca cables are better for your appliction or fit your needs then go for it.

Sub zero temp and AGM batteries
Haha your right, they received an email from me last night so Im done debating on which company to go with.
