Who is this directed at? u 4 total semesters of grad school or undergrad school. My alumni school is offering a 1 year (3 semester masters program in business administration), that I just may take advantage of if I dont stay here in Dallas and go to school.

I have had books way more than that, I was amazed at how much them shits cost when I was at school. Still have to go to grad school but that is just a 3 semester process so books wont rape me like they did during the undergrad days.

Yeah that is how I was at school or me and my friends would just recycle books to each other. I usually just used someone else's book unless we needed to do a lot of work out the book or the teacher demanded we have one then I would buy one. It also depends on the teachers teaching style, whether the teach from the book or have there own agenda different from the books.

i never knew that the xcon took after the icon. all i knew was that it had good output and that ssa tends to make good sq products. so relax a little Im very well relaxed, it just would help if you did some research first and read up on each sub you will notice the Xcon is all about sound quality: ICON Series Subwoofers XCON Series Subwoofers That is why there are reviews on this site and even reviews under the SSA section on this forum talking about the Xcon and its output matched with sound quality.

What is the low pass set at? Did you have bass boost on your headunit or amp on? Did you use the loudness feature on your radio? low pass is set to 80 on hd and around thier on amp. and no i never used the bass boost or loudness because of what the box said when i got the sub That is good that you never used it, what did the box say (your box can talk to you)?

I havent been to Qdoba's in years, that was the only thing I ate while in college. I liked Qdoba's more than Moe's, Im burnt out on Qdoba but would mind having some right now.

That looks like some very high tuning for a BTL and is not recommended. What amp was on this sub, what are the settings on your amp at?

I dont even understand how this is relevant, if you know an Icon and Q sound good and has some good output then why even be worried about the Xcon. It is the Icon's older brother so whatever the Icon can do the Xcon can do and more with ease.

Just sell your amps and give us a working budget and somebody will help you find what you need. I would rather save up and at least buy something worth the money to spend on an amp then to just throw some cash out there on something just to get you buy.

That would be the cheapest and smartest thing to do instead of replacing a tweeter just because of its looks that can be altered.

Who reconed the subwoofer? When you get it fixed I wouldnt even use it till I got the enclosure that is recommended to be used for the subwoofer, just my .02.

If you can find a 15" and want it sealed then go for it, or get a 12" ported in my opinion. Just make sure it fits within your budget range and the enclosure recommendation fits your available space. Any sub on this website or ficaraudio.com will suffice.

Haha it says its a monster, yeah when you see the smoke rising up from it then you will think its a monster. I had two different Crunch amps and they suck, I switched an old Sony out for a Crunch amp it sucked ass I put the Sony back in. Honestly if you have to ask about an amp then more than likely it isnt to up to par, might be good for a budget amp though for some (but not me no matter what budget I have).

If your amps were getting hot then it was a voltage issue or impedence issue, or just pushing it too hard and probably clipping the amp.
