  1. Welcome to the club, I could of saved up some money to buy some wood to make an enclosure for my new sub. But now Im spending money on getting my interior speakers redone for like the 8th time.
  2. Keep it up guys, Im pretty sure you guys will break 150.0db by the end of the day or this weekend if your still working on it.
  3. Usually the smaller side of the enclosures means the more power you could use on the sub, I would go for an enclosure 5ft^3 tuned to whatever you desire.
  4. If in the right enclosure and installed right with the right amp settings you wont have that problem, Ive never heard of bass crackling.
  5. What do you mean by clear, makes no sense? Almost any sub installed right and in the right built enclosure will have good output and sound quality.
  6. What did you end up ordering and good luck on the build log.
  7. Did you ever finish the arm rest in the console?
  8. Later down the road I plan on uprgrading the alt. and batt. But just figured I could keep the gain down untill then Ok sounds like a plan just wanted to see where your head was at, thats all.
  9. Slow TOP!
  10. Are you planning on ugrading your system anytime in the future or do you just want head room? Otherwise I would get the Audioque AQ1200D since it does 870 x 1 @ 2 ohms, just my .02.
  11. What amp do you have to play this subwoofer?
  12. The question is which head unit has the feature that you need, do you need a ipod support if so then use the Alpine (im assuming you want ipod support since you labeled it as a pro and con between the two). Hopefully you are getting those subs in dual 2 ohms so you can wire them to a final ohm load of 1.34ohms.
  13. Well they say 1.2-1.3ft^3 is optimal but you can go as big as 1.5ft^3, so I dont see why 1.5ft^3 on up to the room you have minus some wouldnt hurt. Just my .02
  14. Glad you could join us , do you have any pictures of your setup?
  15. Ask questions and we will be glad to answer them for you or you can give your max dimensions (height x width x depth) and someone on here will be glad to assist you in designing a box for you.
  16. Yeah I watched that same episode of BBQ Pitmasters also, repair on site FTW!
  17. Yeah it would be useless, just make sure you get a voltmeter also and install it in sight so you can keep up with your voltage.
  18. Haven't done the big three yet cause I'm startin from scratch on this car. I'm gonna do 0gauge stinger wire, kinetik hc1400 for my batt. (or maybe the hc1800), alt. upgrade is gonna come soon after that.I'm gonna put a 10 farad stinger cap on as well. I drive an 89' chevy caprice classic so box dimensions aren't really a problem except for the height. Gonna have a prefab box until I can get my custom one made. Any suggestions for the alt and box demensions would be great as I'm fairly new at this. Everything in your list sounds cool just dont throw that cap in there, if you already bought it then sell it and use it to buy the stuff you really need.
  19. ///M5 I just started a word document labeled Cooking Tips from ///M5 so keep them coming, but I appreciate that info about cooking ribs because that was gonna be next project when it gets warmer outside. I have never cooked a slab of ribs before on a grill or anywhere period.
  20. I ordered some KnuKonceptz rca's Monday, one of these days after I get some more products in I will take one of those pictures with everything that is not in the car yet but will be going in there. So hang tight guys, I have not forgot about yall but its gonna be a slow build till more money comes in .
  21. Yeah man thankx, Im actually looking for a good ole job now so I can speed this build log up some but it is coming slowly. Im trying to find someone to design me a temporary box until I decide to buy one from either Fisher Customs or Pound That Sound since they both do nice work. I still have your number and will get up wth you one of these days.
  22. How did you get it to go back on? Did you ever receive your amp? Did you take speakers out of rear deck yet, any improvements if so?
  23. What did you cover it with if you dont mind me asking since I cant tell from the picture? I love this design man, keep up the good work.
  24. x2, the best investment you will need besides doing the Big 3 wiring .
