  1. I already came to that conclusion myself but he has that much room per sub and not both.
  2. I personally feel as though the 12"s will be your speed and will make things alot easier, plus they will have the optimal size they need and not the smallest size since it seems like loudness and output are your goals. Just my .02
  3. Number one you have 2 subs that are Dual 2 ohm which will be wired for a final ohm load of 2 ohms: So you need to find an amp in your budget range that will do 1500rms give or take some at 2 ohms, that simple.
  4. Whatever fits your budget and wins a coin toss in my opinion but besides that this topic is .
  5. Haha 240 is not cruising and have some fun for over there for us SSA Members.
  6. Yeah there are a couple off box builders here this forum who will charge your for designs or you can post your max dimensions and Im pretty sure someone will help you out.
  7. Well personally since he put it in and did it wrong then it is not your fault at all, he should of took his time and did everything right. So they should replace your headunit for messing it up and not do a temporary fix since the problem will still be there. There is nothing wrong with replacing the BIG 3 Wires or adding on to them, to me it just depends how many wires you have coming from that connection (I know in older cars there are usually more wires involved so it would make it more difficult to replace).
  8. Yeah as stated above louder is install dependent, but usually 2-15"s sealed are equal (give or take some) in ouput to 1-15" ported. I would either build a ported box for those 15''s first since it is cheaper, but if that still does not do it for you then upgrade. Just my .02
  9. Sub shipped today, fast service .
  10. And that you will, I ordered sub yesterday (Monday) just got a tracking number that it was shipped today (Tuesday) and it will be here on Friday. Jacob is the man. Im feeling like .
  11. 1.That current box will do fine and if you want to reduce the volume inside then add more wood inside the box but you dont have too. Since you will only be throwing around 1000rms at the sub, that box will be ok. 2. Your voltage will thank you if you complete the rest of the Big 3, you dont have to do the positive run from alternator to battery until you upgrade alternators but it would help. I would at least do the other wire(engine block/alternators bolt casing to cars frame) now in 1/0 gauge. 3. Yes a bigger battery will help with the Sundown SAZ-3500D but the size you need will depend on other equipment in the car, electrical upgrades and so forth. But yes you would need a bigger battery or two when it all comes down. Trust me the SAZ-3500D will be perfect for you subs (just cause the rms is 2000 or greater doesnt mean you have to give it that 2000rms or more for it to perform up to its capabilities). 4. Give us your max dimensions (height x width x depth) of the space you have available for an enclosure.
  12. Just labels based on post count and time as a member. Oh i meant, like could you name them all. Could you just pm it to me? Finding it in the 'Hop on my Wii is gonna be a biznitch (point and click is only fun for so long). And what exactly are you going to do with that information that is so important it should be pm'd to you? I bet for no reason at all, .
  13. One thing you gotta understand when it comes to car audio unless it is brand new and still in box it will be very hard to get what you want for it, I just sold 3 12" Kicker CVX's (less than 8 months old and bought brand new by me) for $250. I didnt want to go that low but hey at least I got me the sub I wanted out the equation with some extra duckies to spend.
  14. We need more info like: Whats your budget? Why do you feel its time to upgrade?
  15. Tupac - Unconditional Love
  16. Im pretty sure if everybody had a money tree, there wouldnt be these useless whats louder threads because then everyone could do their own testing and know whats the loudest in their setup. Well I was just giving you the appropriate information to know which sub will be louder, nobody can tell you which one will be louder but since the DC Level 4L is more geared towards SPL so it should have the potential to get louder (it depends).
  17. No problem man.
  18. well 2000rms at 1ohm plus another 2000rms at 1ohm= 4000rms at 2ohm! 4000rms at 2ohm divided amung 4 subs with a 2ohm final load = 1000rms each sub! as for strapping them that is simple to do! If you want to learn ohm loads, here you go play around and have some fun. Subwoofer Wiring Diagrams
  19. What else is confusing you about amps (sometimes people make it to confusing on themselves by looking so hard into it, after awhile it will simplify itself)?
  20. Yeah wattage will stay the same no matter how many subs you add, it just divides into the number of subs you have (you have 2 subs they will see 600rms each, four subs then 300rms each from your amp and so on).
  21. Yes thanks for saying that because some people just expect us to answer them and we will. But we are like teachers in school we want you to go out and find as much information as you can and then come ask us for further clarification. We will help and I have no problem helping others, the only problem is when others dont want to help themselves and want us to do all the work for them. keep the questions coming just do some work on your own OP.
  22. Do you like ported boxes or do you like sealed boxes, have you heard both to compare. Any of the two styles of boxes can give you nice SQ and bass at the same time (the ported box will have more output than the sealed box).
  23. If you say so, to me that was a none thinking question. If that were the case then amplifiers wouldnt just have one rating on them if everytime you add a sub the rms jumps up by double (im not downing you but we just talked about people thinking before they post and this falls into this category). But yeah the two terminals are for wiring convience or if you want to run mutliple subs and let the amp do the ohm load dropping.
  24. If that $350 is just for the subs then you can look at one 12" or 15" BL or you can get one 15" SSD or possible two 12" SSD's (if you increase your budget slightly). Its all up to you, but these subs will cost more money for a box and the electrical to back that up (so hopefully you have some more duckies for that also).
