SSD12D1 w/ Planet Audio BB1400
i guess people dont read the subject header so incase others over look i have a SSD12 D1 made by FI and thats what im wanting to pair the amp with im thinkin either the planet audio BB1400.1 or a Hifonics BXI1610 brutus amp wanting to know opinions of each thanks. Naw people do read the subject headers, its just your asking a question that is not relevant to FI (just cause you have an FI subwoofer does not mean all your topics should be posted under the FI section unless it is directly about FI car audio). I would of posted this under Amplfiers/Headunits/Electrical section and it would get more respones and answers.

SAX-50.4 and Z15 Close-Out Sales
Whats the displacement of a Z15, cutout hole diameter, mounting depth and outer fram diameter? Thanks interested in one of these instead of Kicker CVX 15" as a temporary subwoofer.

Dave69's 1 Fi BTL 12" Build Log
Definately shouldnt of been doing the math after a night of drinking, I forgot to add the width and one of the last port board. What would be the difference in doing a standard slot port (L shaped) and the one you designed?

4 15"s Blowthrough box ideas
Well stick with your original plan and get the SAZ-4500D and get the 240a alternator, yellow top for starting battery and probably 3 xs power d3100 batteries or 2 xs power d3100 batteries and a smaller xs power batter but thats my suggestion (may be to much but may not be enough, not a wize on high powered installs) but that should be a start.

Sander's BMW audio
Now I cant wait to see this, sounds like one hell of an amp rack now. In my opinion I would make the sides of the amp rack where the fans are gonna be a little shorter to give a better air flow, but besides that you got it.

Lots of 18s
Doing damage, thats what Im talking about .

4 15"s Blowthrough box ideas
There is no set amount of runs, the more the merrier and will help out with voltage (this project sounds like it may be out of your league, why dont you step it down some until you get a better understanding of what you want to do). A yellow top is bigger than what? Obviously not if I told you to get a better starting battery (try doing some research on battery companies: XS Power, Kinetik, Shuriken, Deka, Stinger, C&D Batteries just to name a few). And in all acutallity 4 BL's would be fine with just one of those SAZ-3500D's or just get you a SAZ-4500D, no need for two of those amps. Rethink what you want to do.

2004 Isuzu Rodeo Install
And thats why I said research the Big 3, so you could gain some more knowledge in that department. You answered your own question, if your subwoofer is wired in parallel down to 1 ohm, then use 1 ohm as your impedence.

AudioQue Build
In my opinion it would be pointless to go from Sundown to Audioque (I would just save up my money the first time and get the amp you really want but that Sundown will push the sub nicely (no such thing as underpowering a subwoofer).
-
Adding battery WITHOUT isolator
Dont get one (a solenoid or isolator) but if your paranoid then get a solenoid. I would just suggest you buy a battery charger and charger your Kinetik hc2400 sometimes so your alternator wont have to work so hard.

4 15"s Blowthrough box ideas
A bigger alternator, a bigger starting battery and a lot of big ass batteries in the battery bank. Lots of runs of 1/0gauge or bigger wire.

New system...help.
Just get a FI BL, Dual 2 ohm subwoofer and get a Sundown SAE-1200d thats on sale right now (that way the sub will be wired to a 1 ohm load giving the sub what it needs).

Fi btl 18 box design
well it's going into the back of probably an explorer sport. problem is i don't have the vehicle quite yet. I tried searching the web for some dimensions but i've failed miserably. So unofortunately i really can't give you any guesstimations of max dimensions. sorry! oh, and nice Fi BTL 18 review =] it's what convinced me to purchase my own Well Im sorry to kill your dreams but it will be hard to design a box without a vehicle, you should just wait that would be the smart thing.

Very specific sub request... LOUD SQ WALL <$900 (shipped)?
This topic is all over the place. I personally fill like you should sell the 10"s that you say are mid-ranges instead of subwoofers and use that money for new equipment. Upgrade your mid-bass speakers to handle the higher bass frequencies you want and get a sub to do the rest, thats all you need instead of two different boxes and different type of subwoofers that will just look and probably sound ridiculous.

18" Fi Q Tuning
Sub tuning wont necessarily hurt the sub, they recommend that tuning because thats where the sub best performs at without losing some output. All your gonna do is loose some higher notes and crush more lows with that tuning. The question is why 26.5Hz instead of 28Hz, what are you looking for?

fuse help
jcarter1885 replied to [email protected]'s topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / ElectricalBuy what is needed, if you plan on adding more than one amp in the future then yeah you can get that if your only going to have one amp, then go get an amp kit from knukoncepts just for one amp. You just gotta sit down and figure out what you want to do and go buy some wire, no wire is wrong wire (some decisions you can make on your own without or help).

Waking up amps...
All I have to say is wow, I've heard it all. Did you even read the amps manuals to know the name or spot they go or do any research to find this out on your own but I guess not (SUB OUT is for RCA's and Remote Wire is usually blue or blue w/white strip). Read amps manual and head-units manual, that should be the first thing to do before installing especially if your a beginner. Reading is fundamental.

I think it just looks like a box, didnt give us enough details or share where its going or anything. But I guess it will turn out good.

2004 Isuzu Rodeo Install
This question makes no sense how about re-writing it so someone can help you. The sub can be wired to a 1ohm load or 4ohm load (find a amp that is 1 ohm stable). Look under the Amplifiers/Headunits/Electrical section again and read the How to Set Amps Gain Topic.
