  1. Yes the Big 3 is easy but you dont sound like you know what your doing, try doing some research on this forum under Amplifiers/Headunits and Electrical thread and there are plenty of topics on it (or simply type it into your search feature on your internet and look it up, plenty of pictures and info to help you) some work you can do on your own you just gotta search.
  2. Its alright to me, I guess if thats what you want to spend your money on (to each its own).
  3. Glad you could join us.
  4. No problem man, good luck on the install and dont forget to spoil us with a build log or pictures.
  5. Its two ways to do it: Option #1: You wire each sub individually, one to each set of the amps terminals and let the amp drop the 1 ohm load (no speaker terminals will be left unused). Option #2: You wire each sub individually then together before it reaches the amp to drop to 1 ohm load, to one set of speaker terminals (one set of speaker terminals will be left unused).
  6. Naw what puts an amp into protection is usually wrong ohm load wiring and some other things but not that.
  7. Get Dual 1 ohm subwoofers, wire each of them in series to 2 ohms and they will drop down to 1 ohms at amp since the amp is 1 ohm stable.
  8. I see some flexx going on in the headliner and pull down visors .
  9. If your gonna be running both of those amps at 1 ohm each, your gonna wanna beef up your electrical way more than what you have listed. Thats just about enough electrical for one of those amps.
  10. No such thing as underpowered, that Xcon will be powered quite well on 1500 rms.
  11. Thats crazy, I was just about to make a topic about these because I noticed that parts-express.com has some (Deflex 7" Power Pads) and was wondering if you need these along with Damplifier in your doors. I wanna buy some Dampening for doors and trunk next week for Saturn 2003 Ion (the speakers being used are B&C Speakers PEV13 6.5" mid-range with a closed back, the bottom is a full magnet) will I need these behind the speaker still. OP, sorry for thread jacking.
  12. I personally wouldnt run power acoustic amps in my car but to each its own, just my .02. There are a good number of amps that can do what your asking for, its just after awhile I just want to buy quality products and if for some reason you have a problem with it you can get in touch with the company than get the run around (like most mainstream companies). That is why I recommended Sundown to you for their top-notch service, you can email Jacob, personally if you ever have a problem.
  13. To me that just doesnt sound right (had to be doing something wrong or thought box was tuned low and wasnt), they are low end monsters so I wouldnt see how they cant dig the lows. Thats like someone saying their BL doesnt get loud, has to be install issues. I have heard of Q's lacking the high end, so Im with Shizzzon here, tune a little higher before abandoning the subs could save you some money by just making another enclosure for them. What is your LPF set at on headunit or amp, whichever your using as the crossover?
  14. then how do i wire it? parallel? thought u had to have one with another battery What did I just say, you dont have to get an isolator unless you play your music with your CAR OFF to keep charging seperate (some people use it for playing with their car off or hooking up two different brand of batteries) . There are some people that dont use them when running two different brand of batteries and dont have any problems, so it is just personal preference. Isolators have to different big terminals and two different small ones. The two small terminals (one is positive and the other is negative are for the power on and ground so the device can work properly), the two big terminals are for hooking up each battery together (battery #1 ---fuse-----------isolator-----------fuse--- battery #2).

I wonder how that sounds, he said forget an entertainment system (my basement floor is an enclosure).
  16. You can get the Audioque AQ1200D, it does 870 @ 2ohms for $230 (not the best but over your budget by $30). But if I were you I would get this, Sundown FTW! http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/products/Sundown-Audio-SAE%252d1200D.html
  17. I never heard of those amps or seen them, do you mean SAX-100.2 and SAX-125.2. You can get the Audioque AQ1200D, it does 870 @ 2ohms for $230 (not the best but over your budget by $30). But if I were you I would get this, Sundown FTW! http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/products/Sundown-Audio-SAE%252d1200D.html
  18. Yes your definition of the Big 3 is correct, measue with a wire, rope or piece of string the current wire or where and how you want to run it (nobody can give you an exact measurement so it will be better to do it yourself to get the correct amount). If you have the money to waste and you dont want to do it or its hard to get to certain things then yeah you could pay someone to do it or do it yourself (it doesnt matter).
  19. Thats what the girls say usually, anything can fit and you dont have to use 1/0 awg if you dont want but that 8ga. is not where its at. If you wanted to use the 1/0 awg just get a reducer, but I would do as ppiflat10s said and use 1/0 from battery to distribution block and then 4 guage wire to get the most out the amp or you can use 4 guage(and no distribution block) if you dont plan on adding anymore equimpent.
  20. Yes or you can use 1/0 gauge just take that 8 gauge out (if a company recommends something then I would go with it since they probably wont steer you wrong).

i only have 1 lanzar opti 6000d, so should i not get the additional amp? i feel like there being under powered by 1000 watts??? there wired to a 1ohm load Yeah I dont think you know how much power they are underpowered (How do you know by a 1000watts), there is no such thing as underpowering your subs. Now if you feel the subs are not up to their potential then your electrical sucks, or the amp sucks or the box sucks. Do you have D1 or D2 voice coils on your 15" BTL's? What electrical upgrades do you have? What size enclosure and what frequency is it tuned at? I personally would suggest getting another amp (Sundown, Incriminator Audio or something that is good quality and does rated power and some).
  22. if your not going to play your system with the car off then it wont really be needed (some use it when using two different batteries but you dont have to).
  23. Look at the fuse, somewhere on it should display the amount ( it could say 10a, 40A, 75A, etc.) It may be on the ends depending on the type of fuse your using or in the middle.
  24. Answer this question first: What size fuse is under the hood? Go with four gauge wire and you should use a 100A fuse.
  25. Cant wait till you get the SAZ-1000 to give us more pictures, yeah these Sundown Amps are beast.
