  1. Thank you, I agree with you. Fi always makes beautiful subs
  2. Who would of thought that I would have twins, especially at 55lbs a piece. My trunk, suspension, sunroof and car in general are going to hate me.
  3. I have a love hate relationship with installing sound dampening but it's so worth it at the end.
  4. can't wait for the build log man
  5. Time for a new substage, Dual 12s but which one's: Sundown Xv3s -or- Fi HCs
  6. Put some work in on the car early this morning, I remounted my volt meter and finally mounted my bass knob. Due to the slope and curvature of the console I couldn't get them lined up but I'm not complaining at all.
  7. Cleaning up the wires going into the DSP, using some Tesa Tape which I love vs using Electrical Tape.
  8. These can be crossed as low as 700hz but I keep mine crossed at 1200hz. I honestly have no clue, would have to message Eric Stevens about that one.
  9. New High Score, all sealed up. Salt amp stays cool after pushing on it real hard. Gained over a db with the swap alone and no tuning so far than with my Ampere Audio 3800.1. Box tuned low to 31hz as well, sub up and port back. I designed this box myself and had my last builder construct. I'm proud of myself but want more now.
  10. I had to recone my horn driver since I broke a spade terminal awhile back. I had the shop solder some wire on and eventually I got static at certain times. The recones were cheaper than I expected and easy as 1, 2, 3 to do.
  11. Me too, I love them. I can't wait to get this thing in and playing, I even set the pots for quick install when I get fuses. Tune will commence later. Its time for lithium, I need reserve.
  12. These Sundown Bass Knobs are pretty dope, voltage and clipping light plus amplifier temperature guage. I'll compare my current volt meter to this bass knob and see how accurate one is over the other.
  13. Since I did not plan on selling my amp last night, I never got around to order new fuses for the Salt-4. Ordered them last night after I sold the amp, they should be here Friday or Saturday so I won't hear it till then. But I didn mount the amp up and wire it for now, no bass for a few days but I'll survive.
  14. The same day my new amp was delivered, I sold my old amp. That worked out perfectly
  15. Not anymore, amp was ordered last night and should be here Monday. Also plan to meet with my box builder who built my box for my two Sundown 12s last year and the box for my Icon thats profile picture. I might be going back to two 12s but we will see. Might need to work on more electrical after this new amp so that will determine my next step.
  16. I really can't decide on a new sub amp, not really gaining tons of power. Sundown Audio Salt 4k Crossfire C7-4k DD Audio M4000 Incriminator Audio IX4.1
  17. I miss the old ways of posting pictures where you can put a caption above the pictures to explain then. If you look at each picture, I have a different set of channels highlighted under the OutPut Section in the middle. Each set of channels is named to the corresponding speakers it controls. Under that section you will see crossover points. These DSPs are easy to use once you get your hands on one, I felt lost when I first played with one but with the help of Google it wasnt that hard.
  18. The shop sent me out the door with the wiring management looking sub par and a too small fuse on the alternator (200a fuse for a 250ho alternator). I bought some ceramic fuses for my under hood distribution block and fixed the wire management because it was an eye sore even though the hood is closed 99.9% of the time
  19. The accessories used to install the double din in this VW
  20. Insane for real and it still needs to be tuned and set up, just got done detailing the whole interior of the car. Sweated my ass off in this 95 degree plus night. Some pictures from earlier before I detailed her. When I get time and it dialed in, I'll post some videos of the front stage. I'm already planning on upgrading the subwoofer amp and maybe go to two beastly 12s. Need to meet up with my box builder and talk numbers. But the sub decision might not be till next year though. Stay tuned
  21. I don't know how this quick video was recorded but here is a one second clip of the radio playing haha 20220727_174013_99.mp4
  22. Things to do: 1. Bezel behind radio to make it cover hole behind it which is only seen when looking at radio from side or top while getting in. It's not noticeable at all sitting in seats. 2. Pop trunk button relocation which wasn't done for some reason. I'll find that out tomorrow. 3. Grills for the 8"s. 4. Tune tune and tune.
