  1. Picked her up today, car is dusty as hell. Just took some quick pictures but I will get better ones in the daylight once the car has been detailed. So glad to see over 14.xx volts during hot days, start up is 15.0 volts. This Brand X Alt seems bad ass so far. Haven't really got on the bass or anything so can't comment on all that just yet.
  2. I'm supposed to pick it up tomorrow after work, we will see.
  3. Honestly I doubt it since he didn't say anything about it besides it's one of his favorite Ferrari's like mine.
  4. Finally dropped her off this morning to go under the knife. New updates will be coming soon: some chrome delete on front end, h/o alternator install, removing NAV TV unit and Factory head unit for Sony Double Din and customized doors for dual 8" Stevens Audio MB8-2 speakers per door.
  5. When your shop is working on Russell Wilson's Benz AMG truck conversion and has my favorite Ferrari inside.
  6. Yes you can but I wouldn't do it. With two Dual 2 ohm subwoofers your final load will either be 0.5 ohms or 2 ohm's going to amp. So you will want to find an amplifier that does the power you want at 2 ohm's to conserve the life of the amplifier. For burping I would do 0.5 ohm load but not for daily use. But that's my preference personally
  7. Almost color matched the fuse holder under the hood haha. I need to go buy a hydraulic crimper to finish that install since main power wire is ran and I dont want to hammer crimp on the car.
  8. 250A Brand X H/O Alternator with a HotCoat Metallic Blue Powder #11816.
  9. Everything is ready to go once the H/O gets here, I just have to pay my Installer for the door panel customization and she will be getting dropped off for a week or so.
  10. Im working on taking out those Stinger XLink fuse holders if you havent gotten a pair and still interested, Ill sell them to you if you do head this way.
  11. Yes sir, I'm in the DFW metroplex area. You're welcome to anytime, just don't know when she is going in the shop for the upgrades yet as know I'm waiting on the alternator to get here
  12. There's no turning back now, the 8"s have arrived. It's time to get these front doors fondled and customized for a pair per door
  13. These Rhyno RCAs seem to be dope so far, the connection is tight and the color scheme is real nice. They look perfect in their new home, thanks SSA.
  14. I'm trying to make it look as factory as possible and protect the wires for the alternator voltage regulator going into the engine bay.
  15. Bought some new RCAs from the SSA Store. The Audison one's are too bulky and just don't make my install look so appealing but otherwise they are great. The Stingers don't make good contact, if you turn them some or install them a certain why it drops some of the signal.
  16. Relays are here and I also bought new 20amp Bussmann fuses. This is how my Alternators voltage regulator controller is going to be wired up, all new components for a piece of mine.
  17. Haha yes sir, even on vacation I was putting in some wiring work while at the cabins.
  18. Getting the voltage controller knob and relay wiring done so the installer will have less work to do when the H/O Alternator gets installed at the shop. Excuse the dirty mats, going out of town soon and didn't have time to clean out the car. Still waiting on relays to be delivered.
  19. The top covers are clear, I just haven't removed the protective covering yet. Don't want to sratch them so I'll wait till it's time to isntall until I do that.
  20. I decided to not do the SMD fuse blocks and stayed with Jims Machine Works, they got here in two days after ordering which I was surprised.
  21. Quick install in a 2017 Mercedes Benz C Class with the SSA Amp, sub is bridged on two channels. Other two channels will be used for interior speakers in the future.
  22. Thanks man and I absolutely think it looks killer as well. But as much as I love it especially with my trunk light. My next enclosure will be black with white aero port and white inside. This white just isn't as durable as the black bedliner and it gets dirty just by touching it. Even when you wash your hands, that oil from the skin shows. I really appreciate it, I think you gave me some of the idea before about either a white box or a white port. If it wasn't in this build log, it might of been in my Sonata build log.
