  1. Yes sir, no point on rushing it all. I also added some wire tie down clamps and covered them in amazing goop as well. Wires were ziptied together as well. I love amazing goop.
  2. Inside wire hole is now sealed, letting it all cure for a few days. There's a show at Crossfire Car Audio on Saturday, I doubt I'll make it though but we will see.
  3. Haha yes it but I won't get too crazy. One thing I do know if I ever go back to two 12s then you know the deal
  4. Got the port screwed and I added amazing goop on the inside to seal off between wood opening and port. 8 gauge wire is installed and hole was sealed up with the amazing goop as well. Once it cures I'll flip the box over and seal the inside of the speaker wire hole just for safe measure.
  5. I really out did myself with this design and color scheme, my box builder perfected my vision. It even has two stripper poles
  6. You're welcome man, I appreciate you guys. New high score all windows and sunroof closed, playing some Gucci Mane - Swing My Door.
  7. Didn't rattle as much but still needed some more material to the light control panel itself.
  8. Both overhead consoles rattle like crazy. I stuffed some thin foam lining from an old gun case in the front headliner and that fixed the issue without having to remove anything. The rear overhead console needed to be removed, once I'm off work later today I'll add some type of deadener, I think I still have some of that egg crate foam deadener left at home. 20220305_095151_99.mp4
  9. Yes sir, it's getting fun again I must admit but you know the process. When I go back to two 12"s one day in the future, I'll do the subs forward and port up as well to the sides. Since that box won't block the access panel and can be moved around easier.
  10. No I haven't but I see a lot of people have a good results with sub forward and port to side as well. I would like to try these configurations but they would have to be built in vehicle. Also my access hole to some things is right under my amp some i will have to ruin the box god forbid something goes wrong. Im real short on port area with the slotted port, like 10.5in^2 so I'm going for more port area with the aero and a little higher tuning than 27hz. Just want to try different thing since I got this APM meter.
  11. My new 6" aero port is here and I decided to do a white port this go around and you will see why soon. It is a Big Ass Port, that is adjustable from 6.5" to 20.5" with all the pieces included which I thought was dope. Felt like a science experiment playing with the different pieces
  12. Yes I was, the only way I could get the camera to focus. In actuality I thought it wasn't that much bigger than their 10 gauge I'm currently using and it makes their 4 gauge look humongous.
  13. I just made some aesthetic changes to the new enclosure that's being built as we speak, it's going to be dope. I bought some bigger wire for the sub terminals to the sub amp.
  14. Yes sir, I don't want to totally black the car out. As much as I liked how Passat was spelled out across the trunk, it looks a thousand times better without it.
  15. I know man its so massive. Im building a new box soon with way more port area and going back with an aero port. I want a bigger plexi window if possible because that motor looks menacing.
  16. Aftermarket radio Sony XAV-AX8100 is paid for and so is the materials and labor, the factory radio, factory amp and aftermarket factory integration piece will be removed from the vehicle. Im getting reimbursed for the Nav-Tv unit, so that's a plus.
  17. Honestly test it out to see. Use some double sided tape or Velcro pads to place them in different locations. I like one location personally and that is on axis. I like my tweeters to be in my face, but I like pro audio as well so take my subjective input with a grain of salt haha. Aiming is also tweeter dependent, on axis can be harsh to some people. There are people who like their tweeters mounted next to their mids as well. Some tweeters perform better off axis than on axis and vice versa.
  18. I always do this equation to guess the SSF (I do the same to guess the LPF too). 60-10=50 50÷2=25 10+25= 35 So by my approach, the halfway point would be 35hz. But that doesn't mean my guess is accurate at all but now that I have a DSP, it takes all the guess work out of it.
  19. Well that didn't last long, the port definitely needs something to bounce off of. I have to turn the amps gain up more to get the same sound almost and output. Box is back to first orientation but pushed back further towards the cabin and amp is in front of the box now. Will listen in the am when I go get my new tires put on the car.
  20. I still have to install the power and ground wires to the amp and it will be playing, I will do that in the AM. It looks so much better, damn it looks kinda menacing looking back at from the front seats.
  21. See how bad she is squatting, looks like I got that Cali Lean haha. Don't want to ruin my springs so Im turning the box around to displace some of the weight. I'm also moving the amplifier behind the box so when I open the trunk you will see amp, battery and back of enclosure. With the seats down you will see the front of the enclosure, Plexi window and LEDs show at night. I turned the box around, didn't do anything else tonight. I'll finish in the am. Amp needs to be relocated still and box pushed all the back, hopefully this helps get more bass in the cabin.
