Can you tell us how your roof reacts with the Damplifier ? If it flex , if you still have rattles? I'm "working" on a little car and the subs give us too much flex on the roof ! Thanks

Build a classic slot port box. You will have to move it to access your spare tire, like ...me! Look at my gallery, you will see how I do it ! If I need the spare tire, I push it on the amps with the back seats down and that's it! A box for a 10" must not be too heavy to take it off the car, though. Good luck.

With the same amp(saz1500) I 've never seen less than 13.3 v, and I have a stock electrical system, with no added batt. Check your wirings, connections, all you can... You don't have enough power for such voltage drops.

ya i will prob mak one, il prob need a guide, wat about remote gains such as a Clarion EQS746 to control the bass, i already have a pioneer deck, its pretty nice. You don't need that Clarion thing. All sub amp come with a remote knob. I don't even use mine on mi Sundown saz 1500. There are free design in the tecnical section here on ssa. Look at the top of the page. You can order custom designs too. Some box builders makes wonderful boxes. If you don't live too far from one of them, order from them. You will be sure to have a perfect box for your car/amp/sub/taste !

He can easily improve the midbass by working on the install(deadening, sealing holes,...). If he has crappy speakers (and no amplifier), they will never give nice midbass enough ! For the box, if you have room, go ported and BIG and tune to 32hz.

Yeah, that is big for a beginner setup ! Get a 15" btl and a Sundown saz 1500 and a custom box(very important). Do the big3 in 0 ga. Buy a voltmeter to know how your car likes it. You will know if you need a new alt or new batts. Don't forget your front speakers. You won't hear them with so much bass. Maybe you need to upgrade them, and add a 4 channels amp. $1500? That can be tight ! Good luck.

You can keep the PG woofers and get a set of tweeters. Get rid of the passive x overs and play active. I don't know if your ampis a 4 channels.

SAMZ, if you're a true begineer, start with something lighter! A Btl is really a beast, don't try to run 2. You can start with one 12" or one 15". A 1500 or 2000 watts amplifier is enough and doesn't need to much electrical upgrades. This would be very very loud for a first system! Be sure to have a good box: it is 50% of the work. Like they told you, read all you can here on the forum. You will learn a lot. If you really want 2 12" subs, go with 2 Fi BL for example, and the same amp. Whatever you choose, you will want more later! So, don't start to big !!! .

What do you mean by "subs sealed firing up in a hatchback" ? I found my sub hits harder firing back than firing up. Did you "sealed" it like a kind of wall in the trunk? I have some rattles from the hatch that I can forget when the sub is firing up! And, of course, I want all the bass I can have with my Xcon.

I like that advice ! 2 15" woofers for a first install, and on a very tight budget : that is cool !!! It gives much room for improvments in the future. Be sure to build a good box for the sub.
