A vid of the Geo demmoing
When I received my 15" Icon, I was playing that gucci Mane's song : the bass is insane ! You feel your stomach blowing !!! and I had a small and too highly tuned box. I have to find that song to play it with my xcon 15 in the right box now ! It will be hard. Poor Geo : the windshield try to escape from all that bass !

in search of a low end monster
To the OP : how can an Xcon cost € 600 ? I thought you lived in Germany, not on the moon ! Shipping costs can't be that high. Did you add customs taxes ? My Xcon went from SSA to France and then went back to me in the Caribbeans : yours won't travel so long ! I didn't pay 600 €.

Daily driving sub stage
You will end with 2 BTL's 18" ! or 2 Sundowns Nightshades (I think I've read somewhere that they don't need huge boxes) It seems that only 4 18's xcon can pleased you, but it's a lot of money to spend.

How about that SSD?
People use to talk about big woofers, like the bl, the btl,... Bigger is better for all the bassheads. That's why you did not find enough info about it ! But an ssd may be the right solution for you, or a Fi Q if you want. Just my 2 cents. Good luck

Subwoofer recommendations
Put your amps on each side of the trunk, on a piece of Mdf(for example). That will give you some more room for your enclosure. The 2 Icon's 10" in a ported box is a good idea if they can fit. The Fi bl 10" is another solution.

Pair of 15inch Xcon
30-32 Hz, and you should be fine ! Good luck on your build !

in search of a low end monster
I've heared recently a JBL GTI 12" in a ported box, and I'm waiting for a box design for 2 GTI's 10". I don't know if the box for the 12" was good, but it sounded good in a trunk of a Mercedes. We even tried it with the trunk open. And we all liked it! They are pretty expensive in France, where do you live ? Ask ssa for a quote on one of their subs, to have an idea of the shipping costs. You may not have to pay taxes, if you're lucky, or if you know your business!!! There are different shipping methods, work on it ! If you can find locally a brand new 15" L7 for about 200 €, go for it ! It will give you what you need, but it's really not an Xcon! BTW take a look at the SSA Icon too : cheaper than the Xcon, it's the little brother !!! I loved mine (got it after some 15" Kicker L7's) until I got my Xcon.

18BTL in Tranny Line
You already have an AQ, why don't you just buy a second one ? I'm afraid of these monster amps. If it fails, you have no bass at all. If ona AQ fails, you still have one to play with while you wait for repair or buy another(so cheap !). Walls looks cool, but I don't know if they're so cool for music. Everyone can see what you got when they see you coming. I like to have everything hidden in the trunk. No one can tell until I crank it up !!! Good luck with your build, and post some pics, please !

in search of a low end monster
Take a serious look at the SSA Xcon. It may be what you're looking for !!! But it's not only a low end monster, it's a monster from low end to 80 Hz !!! Kicker L7 can really dig the lows, but I personnaly think they are not accurate at all doing it. I had several models of 15"L7 in sealed boxes. They were like struggling with the lows, but still loud. The Xcon is on another level : a much better sq, but more expensive too. You just need one xcon on your 2000 watts amp to smile like an happy baby for ever !!!!!!!!!!!! good luck

Btl 18 power handling..
Expensive for some, cheap for others ! I agree : the 2 saz's 1000 strapped would be the best idea. You can search for any other 1000 watts linkable amps that can give you 2000 watts at 2 Ohms. Maybe it is cheaper than a big amp. Kicker must have at least a 1500 watts amp. That can be good for you. Whatever solution you find will not be on the cheap ! You must pay for power !!! Remember that with a bigger amp you might have to upgrade your electrical system. More money again !!!!!!!!!

Anyone have experience with the RE XXX components?
It's a comp set. Don't try to run it "active". Use the passive filters. They were made by professionals FOR your speakers. When you want to run active, you will use a 4-channel amplifier, with 2 mid woofers and 2 tweeters. You will, then, use the 4 channels of the amp.

KaleCoAuto Subs
$ 145,000 for a sub ? and 9 different reviews ? What a joke ?!!! I did not see if they accept Paypal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LMAO

what sub to buy?
SPL BMW, there are no best! Read a little more topics, look at the install pics, build logs,... Then you will have more ideas of what you need. I would suggest SSA Xcon, but BTL's are very loud (they play in another category, SSSSSSSSPL). Take a look at the manufacturers sub-forums : ssa, incriminator audio, fi,... You will come back with more questions,...maybe !

Q15
Get a voltmeter first. You will get a new batt only if you need it .

- Big 3 on 2002 Cadillac Seville STS HELP!!!
I have a 4-door Toyota Auris 2.0 D4d (diesel) 126 hp : it is not sold (yet) in the USA. It's the new Corolla hatchback. It's a nice (little for you Americans) car, but the trunk is too small for me : I can only fit a 3.5 cu ft ported enclosure, and it's tight !!! Take a look at my ssa gallery .- Big 3 on 2002 Cadillac Seville STS HELP!!!
I have the same problem : my alternator is hidden and not easily reachable ! I have to reach it by under the engine block, I need to lift up the car, take out the front left wheel and the mudd cover. Until I have more 0/1 wire and connectors, I will just ground my engine block (I've already upgraded the battery ground with 0/1 wire). So, it will be the big 2 for me ! I hope I will be able to get some connectors from Darvex : they're soooo expensive here !!! Good luck- 4 Fi Audio IB3 18's walled off 15Hz tune in a VAN BUILD LOG
I'm not the only one ! I thought I had a problem with my computer !!! Keep on posting pics. Nice work man- Little question about the big 3
Notorious97200 replied to Notorious97200's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / ElectricalOk, I understand everything is important ! I have just one battery, and it's under the hood. No batt at the back, in the trunk. So, I use the 2/0 awg wire for engine block to chassis (ground). The 1/0 awg wire for the battery(-) to chassis (ground). I must get some more 1/0 awg wire and ring connectors to do the alt(+) to batt(+). I got it NOW !!! I will tell you how I feel it when it's done ! When I upgraded the ground on the battery, I saw a better voltage number on my voltmeter. My car still run fine, no voltage loss, but it is just to run it safer ! This forum is too coooool ! thanks a lot.- Little question about the big 3
Notorious97200 replied to Notorious97200's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / ElectricalThanks for your answers ! Last questions : 1) Is it good (or worth it) to take a point on the engine block not so close of the alternator to ground it on the chassis ? 2) What lenghth all these ground wires got to have (minimum, and MAXIMUM) ? - Big 3 on 2002 Cadillac Seville STS HELP!!!
