  1. I like this idea. Great deal for USA residents
  2. tuned in. I like that.
  3. Good to see you already thinking about suspensions for the car. That should help a lot if you want to drive with all those equipments ! Waiting to see more...pics. Good luck for this build.
  4. no need to change h u just to have more voltage on the outputs ! Amplifier : if money is tight, why change ? You want more bass ? Work on a better enclosure if you can, change speakers (maybe), work on the electrical &/or sound deadening,...
  5. From what I've just read, I will not deal with them. I live too far away to accept those kind of problem ! I had good experiences with Secondskinaudio. I will use their things for my next car : answer emails very quickly and I like their products when I compare them with fatmat, zealum, ... Maybe I will try SDS, as I understand he is THE guy ! I need to work with serious sellers...shipping is too expensive to send defective products back to the USA !!! I wanted to try Knu but I don't remember what happened, so I tried Darvex for Stinger products, and I was totally satisfied. I did not know ssa by this time.
  6. Forget the rear 6x9 speakers. You will not be able to hear them through your subs !!! That would leave you some more money for a decent component set for your fronts, and maybe some deadening product for the doors. You may like Skar, but after what I've read about this brand, I would not buy their products. But it's just my personnal opinion. Do what you want ! For the subs, try them in as many boxes you can ! If you already have a ported box for your, car try them in first. They will sound good in a sealed box, but they will also be louder in a ported one. I don't want to run sealed boxes again, since I know how to get well designed ported boxes now !
  7. DC is madein the USA ? Assembled maybe ? You're on the SSA forum ! Fi, AA, SSA,...whatever, but ... DC ???!!!
  8. We're not all mad or silly in the Caribbeans. A little respect please !
  9. From my little experience : don't go cheap on speakers, it will be harder (but possible) to make them sound good. I also like good equipments and good amplifiers, but if I was on a small budget I could buy lesser quality or cheaper amps, even Audiopipe amps !!!! They're cheap and they "work" !!!
  10. He runs 2 different subs in the same car ? One in a ported box and one in a sealed box ? what a mess !!! You must be louder, with your system in a hatchback car ! But you need to install everything and tell us what you think. Only you can tell ! You choose good equipments.
  11. I do not know personally M5 and the others here, but If I have to choose a product I'd rather trust them than the Skar owner and the others Skar users. You can't say a product is good because you have just tried them in your car : who are you to make me believe what you think is true ? Pioneer : you said GPC designed you a box for your sub, maybe that is why you like your Skar sub ! You must have a good box This SSA forum is where I get the best advices on car audio. Can't compare to SMd !!! smh
  12. Good deal !!! Look at the subs available in the SSA store.
  13. 2 Icons on 1500-2000 watts rms would be very nice ! I don't like MB Quart amps, but it should work, bridged on a good set of comps. Good luck, ... and make a build log here if you can
  14. What a great deal on the Xcon ! And nice car too ! tuned in for more pics
  15. I heared several times a setup with 2 15" Xcons, each in a 4 ft3 box at 30ish Hz, they were ...wonderful ! Loud and clear. But it was in a very small car (an Old Renault Clio). No back seats, sub & port up, on 1800 w rms each. I had mine in a 3.1 ft3 box with 2 4" aeroports : it was nice but, my car is bigger than the Clio, so it was really not as loud, but amazingly accurate on music. Before trying SSA products, I've never heared subwoofers playing music so well. I have to admit the box is VERY important. You seem to be in good hands.
  16. OP, you sais that you alreadu have a 3ft3 seled box. Ok. But if you port it with an internal port, you'll have way less volume. It can be enough, but it can no too I hope you have in mind that you will have to build another box. Maybe I did not understand very well what you said. If that so, sorry
  17. Thanks Aaron. I will try to look for their write up. I did not want to go further without any explanation, but it seems that I have to ! @ R3dt34Rz : no, I'm not a military, and not a US citizen !!! Just a foreigner, a French guy in a French Caribbean island.
  18. one 4x6 and one tweeter on each channel, but you need a passive filter, at least for the tweeter. Or a crossover. Why did you get a 2 channel amps for 4 speakers ? I see a lot of people do it like that, and I can't understand that. They want 2 channel amp because they think it will give them more power to use !!!
  19. Hello, I saw something about international shipping with Bongo. What is it ? It says that it gives me an adress in the USA so I can order, but why ? I don't need any delivery in the USA, and I like when it is Fedex, or even UPS The Fedex girls are soooo nice here I can see that I must pay $1 to register, but I don't know who will deliver my orders, how much it will cost finally, and how long it will take. I admit I did not check if I can finally use the Fedex checking info app that was on the store. It never worked for my country, in facts. I have some friends wanting to order some equipment as they can see there are more and more good thing sold on the ssa store. They're asking me for help because they don't speak English Thanks for your help.
  20. or an Xcon ? Really worth the money
  21. Your amplifier talks to you ?! Do what they told you to do ! Check the rca and the h u. And you'll see Good luck !
  22. I like this topic. I wish my local car audio friends could read English ! Here, like in Fl, and South America, people love screaming sound ! Caribbeans love to run lots of speakers in their cars, they love bass but they focus more on highs & mids. I guess SXM is like Martinique on this point, Alain (from SXM). Bonne chance, et j'espère pouvoir écouter ta voiture un de ces jours.
  23. I don't know if it would sound good. Hairtricks are not so fun IMO if you listen to music ! Lots of air movement, wind,... Walls look good,...........but I would not want one in my daily car. Maybe in a special car for sound system, but I only have one car, and one place to park in my residence ! Stop watching youtube videos, OP !!!!!
  24. I don't know how you downloaded those pics, but all I can see for each is an icon with the "no trpassing" sign with "no permission". I think it's coming from my computer, but it's the first time I'm seeing those ! Usually it just says : posted pic, and that's it !
  25. Great deal. Shipping would kill me as I'm really not in CONUS.
