Try it at 2 Ohms before anything, in an efficient box. That will leave you time to save for the amp you want, and to save for the HO alternator you will need !

We're ready to order. Just a few more questions : 1) Will a 270 alt be enough for 5500 w rms of power on 3 Optima yellow (the biggest ones). 2) Are those alts in stock now ? If not, how long for the wait ? I'd like an answer from Mechman

That is not a big build for you ? OMG I can't see anything bigger in this car !!!

A single 15" BTL N2 (or an SP4) on a single 2500-3500 w amp would slam and give you way more output than now ! Maybe you can try a higher tuning to save room and have more ... punch. My N2 is in a box tune to 34 Hz and I love it !!! The SP4 seems soooo big ! It will eat up a lot of space in your box. Keep the back seats, you never know who you can meet on the road !!!!!

Sometimes it can be a little slow, sometimes it can be faster ! Be patient. start your build / box if it's not done yet. Did you send them an e-mail ? What info did they give you ? You're in TX, at least you know it will come quick as soon as it is shipped. From AZ or Nevada (don't remember).

Port that Xcon, and you'll forget about the SSDs ! You'll be amazed. One day I will try 2 10" ported, like 2 Xcons or 2 Fi BL.

1000 w at 2 Ohms is enough for a BL. OP, you can keep this amp if this is the one you like. But a DVC 2 sub would be better to find a good amp that accept 1 Ohm loads.

Welcome OP. Try the BL on your current amps. Don't beleive another more powerful one will change your life ! Only a good box can do so.

Why not some 0 Ga wire to power this amp ? everybody uses 0 Ga, even if it's not necessary ! BTW nice car.

I sold a Kicker L7 15" to a freind, and he put it in a 4-5 ft3 sealed box on 1200 w rms. It was so loud !! Never heared an L7 going so low. Not so clean on the lows, but loud AND low ! OP, Make a strong box, with enough bracings. you should be good to go !

I had a 15" Xcon in a 3.1ft3 net box, using only 2 4" flared aeroports. I use all the 17" of the original port. The box is tuned to 33 Hz IIRC. I loved it. Now this box has a 15" Fi btl n2 in it, and it slams sooo hard,and hits the lows very well. Maybe it would have been better with bigger ports, like 6" or 8" but it can take a lot of space in the box. You had a big trunk ! I don't have pics of my first setup. It was some focal comps upfront and A set of Pioneer 6x9 in the rear on a little Audison srx. With an Alpine powered sub + enclosure. Sold everything but should have kept the Audison.

A friend of mine sold his Soundstream XXX recently (he did not like it !) and now wants a Mayhem. But he wants to know if there are any delay. I know Fi can take some times to deliver(months !). He could make another choice but we need this info first : how long before shipping for an AA Mayhem ? And then what other woofers do you have available ? Any Incriminator, or Sundown Z ?

Even if I don't have any SSA woofers for now, I want one...in light blue. Black is too hot for our daily Caribbean sun ! But as always shipping will kill me
