  1. Q and Icon are in the same league. They are not spl subs, even if they can get loud. Maybe you should look for other drivers.
  2. You got serious skills ! Congratulations. Nice kid too. What do you plan for mids & highs ?
  3. That will be ...loud ! Want to see more.
  4. There are some good box builders here. Some may have a sub forum too. Look for DC Creation or something like that, ram designs,... You should keep your amp and keep the money for a good custom PORTED box. Good luck.
  5. I loved my GT42. Sold it to a cousin to power his stock speakers(at 4 Ohms) and a 10" Pioneer sub at 2 Ohms. Sounds goooood ! I've never heared their speakers. Maybe I will try them someday.
  6. 4k should be enough, don't you think ? Don't focus on amp power, focus on the right box for your needs. From my very little experience, I can tell you it's not really important to have a lot of power, unless you're an spl only kind of guy ! I had a BTL on 3000 w rms and I was not so happy with it. I went back with a 1500 w amp (still Sundown) and it was not less loud with it. I sold the saz 3000 w amp. Now I am waiting for a new enclosure. Ram designs worked on the...design and I'm waiting on my builder. I'm sure the difference will be way more noticeable than with the 3000 w amp. Good luck. Just wanted to add that I love the MTX 4000 TE amp : it looks good, and is small, easy to fit in a car.
  7. Can't find my orders numbers, but I know I've spend some "big" money here at SSA. 3 xcons, 1 Icon, about 6 Sundown amps, stickers,...and it's not finished !!! Nothing for me ?
  8. I'm tuned in. Never heared about this brand. Competition is hard on the car audio market !
  9. I've waited more than 2 months for a Fi BTL N2 ! And that happened twice ! All my SSA drivers took less than 1 month to be delivered. Worth the wait !
  10. 3 subs on 2 amps ? You will need to link those amps together. 2 18's would be easier, don't you think ?
  11. Your rims are not bad, but the second set you showed on that Bimma is wonderful. Great looking car you have there. congrats !
  12. Your box looks nice. Fix that rattles quick ! and keep posting pics !!!
  13. Do you know how you blew the sub ? You could blow any other woofer , you never know. Be careful
  14. x 2 ! Cheapest solution for you, OP !
  15. Keep showing more pics. We love that here !
  16. You need some rims too !!!
  17. why don't you like Stetsom ? Just for my info.
  18. Ask Bromo, or Ram designs. Both are members here.
  19. I'd rather order from The man himself. But that is just me !
  20. Keep your Sundown sub, OP. You should be good to go with what you have. 1000 w rms : nothing too much for a car. (I'm not a mechanic, though)
  21. You can also contact Ryan at RAM Designs. He is a member here, and he has a web site too : google ram design to find the exac adress. He makes really good designs.
  22. Send him your email adress to receive the drawing.
  23. Just my personal opinion : try to listen to the K series from Focal. I love them, ...but many people don't like their tweeters. You need to listen to them to judge ! I don't know if the Access line sounds good enough for you ! Hertz is a very respectable brand. they make very good speakers. Like Stefanhinote told you : get an amplifier (a 2 channel or a small 4 channel amplifier to run bridged) for the speakers to fully enjoy them. Component speakers need power to really shine.
  24. what is it ? A video game ?!
