Only thing I can't buy in the USA is Head units !!! In my country your h u won't let me listen to all of the fm radios. Only half of the fm band / frequencies are available ! But like everyone, I would say Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood, Clarion.

Take a look at the BTL N2 if you think you can like the Mayhem. I have a 12" N2 that I love and I've heared a 15" in an optimal ported box : it's amazing, fantastic !!! You'd better put a 15" sub in an optimal enclosure rather than squeeze an 18" in a too small of a box ! You could Keep your back seatsby getting a 15" in a good ported box made for your hatch. It will be loud too ! Good luck

It will sound good but won't be the loudest. With you will have more output. 1000 watts for 2 Xcons 12" ? Why not ? Maybe you can run only one Xcon on that power, and upgrade later. But if you already have the cash, just do it ! You will get a more powerful amp, later, to make those Xcons shine.

I've never thought the Z v3 could handle so much power ? Wow ! The Crescendo amp must be way cheaper, and put out 1000 w more. But I like my Sundown amps

BigGeorge : Whatever amplifier you use, you will not have all the watts everytime. Only at full volume. On low volume, the sub still sounds good, it is just louder with all the watts. If you have the budget, go with the x. you will be able to change your amp for a more powerful one later if you want. It will give you more dbzzzz !

I would keep the MTX. Your box seems good for it. Maybe the amp is broke ? I don't know, but this sub & box should sound good. The Dcon is in another league. It's a good woofer, but it can'tbe compared to a monster like the MTX you got.

give us a budget. You could try to sell your h u and use the money on a new one. I'm sure you can find used Pioneer prs h u for "cheap". Good processors are not cheap.

The Alpîne pdx are small and class D. 4 x 100 or 4 x 150 Audiopipe has small amps too. Pioneer makes small 4 ch amps. goood luck

larger on volume ? From 2.1 to 2.5 ? The difference will be noticeable ? Or bigger ? Beauty panel ? Is it a panel to hide everythijng around the box, to block any sound from going down, to allow the bass to go up only ? (I can't explain it better with my poor English vocabulary !).

Thanks for the ideas. Keep them coming ! This time I want to try some kerfing on that port, and 45's on the corners. I will try to do sub and port up, with a kerfed port, and a 34 Hz tuning. I'll ask Ryan at RAM designs or Bromo at Eclectik Enclosures.
