950 @ 2 Ohms ? That much ? Sure it's not 750 ? If your MTX is dead, I understand now ! Don't expect more ! You should double the power to hear an increase in db's !!

agree with KIRILL007 ! Why did you change ? They both seem to produce about the same power at 2 Ohms. You should not notice anything different !!! At 2 Ohms, I'd rather use the MTX.

They are called VW Golf in my country. We have a lot of them and they always have good bass. I don't know if it is because of their shape, but any boombox can sound good and loud in them ! Congratulations for the car and the equipments !

Such a big amp for a single SA-8 ! You know she'll want more later ?! I like this car. It reminds me some tv commercials back in the days (in the 90's when my Dad had a dish antenna to watch american tv's). It was the trooper or the rodeo, I don't remember !!! Find some good speakers for her : it's way more important than bass IMO ! Ask ///M5 for good and cheap speakers !!! Or take a look at madisound.com or parts-express.com, they have some great speakers. Look at the Aura speakers, they are on sale and they sound really good !!! Good luck !

Get the 2 subs on that amp, it will be perfect. But don't forget room for the amp in the back !

The smd woofer seems to be a "musical" woofer. Not made for pure spl. But I've never heared it ! On 3000 watts a BTL or 2 BLs would be very good. I love the sound of my btl, and it's just a 12" : the 18" must be louder !!! One btl wouls be cheaper than 2 bls. If you have room, get the 18" btl !

You need special equipments and tools to make square subs. So you will need to sell a lot of them to compensate for the added costs on tools and machines. Only big companies can do that : MTX, Kicker,...

Get a box. A wall won't be easy to remove or modify.

Are you going to do a wall ? If not, make a box for the 3 subs and use your amp. Enjoy it until you can get a 4th sub and another amp. But 3 18" on more than 2000 watts : that should hit hard !!!

triangle divider : that may be a good idea. I see that often in that kind of boxes.

double power ? You should test ! But I think it can be fine with big3 and another battery. It may be better to upgrade the front battery before. I did not do it like that because of the price of a battery . I did not want to change a battery in good shape. I added a Kinetic batt in the rear, and I will change the front one later ! Be careful : I'm not an expert, it's just my personal experience.

electrical looks fine. I can't imagine you need a better alt for this power ! 1500 watts is plenty for the xcon, just follow ssa recommandations. You really don't need to go bigger IMO. Post pics when done !

Sundown seems to be very busy !

You can start with the big3. You can do that yourself, at least the upgraded grounds. But get a voltmeter to check your voltage IN the car. You should not have any problem with such a Kenwood amp. I had one in the past, and I had stock electrical : no problems at all. And I did not have any additional ground anywhere !!!

I had mine in a 3 ft3 sealed box, and I loved it. Do it at 3, you will run a bigger amp someday !!! But I'd rather have the sub centered in the box.
