You don't need to replace any wire when you do the big3. What happened ? Maybe you can take the engine block wire to the (-) on your battery. Good luck.

It won't be louder with only 2 subs. You have a problem somewhere. Did you do the big3 ? Are you sure you have good grounds everywhere ?

I wanted the saz 2500, budget played a factor ! And woofersetc is slow to answer now. Maybe they don't have anymore in stock. So I bought the saz 3000 from db-r. They told me it's a b-stock that they will make like brand new ! I'll see.

I've just send db-r the money through paypal for it. $ is low these days comparing with €, I was very happy to see the price in Euros(€) !!! don't want Cresc or DC, sorry ! They may have very good amplifiers, I might try them some day. I keep it Sundown for now. Thanks guys !! I'll let you know the results when I get it !

My friend loves this brand !!! But these speakers are so cheap !!! Why ? Not that we like to spend money, but here everything is so expensive ! And Davis Acoustics is priced like Focal, both are French brands. He will be scared of the price, but can buy several sets !!! He never had so cheap speakers.

Ok so now here are the final options : Sundown saz 3000 refurb from db-r for $700 OR Sundown saz 2500 new from Woofersetc for $ 815. I'm waiting for shipping quotes for those 2. Do you think the old saz 3000 is a good choice (reliability wise) ? I'm afraid to buy a refurbished old amp, even from db-r. It would be my first used amp bought on the internet. but the price is right for me !

Hi, A friend of mine is looking for an 8" midbass speaker. He has several sizes speakers in his car ! It's not really perfect as ///M5 would have done it, but it sounds so good !!! It's one of the best sounding cars in my island : loud, nice and gets low when needed ! The 8" will be powered by 2 channels of a JBL amp, a pbx 300.4, so about 125 watt rms per side at 4 Ohms. He runs a second JBL amp (100.4) on the smaller speakers and tweeters. Electrical is very good. He has 4 Sundown saz 1000's on 2 SSA Xcon 15" in a small Renault Clio (build log here on ssa forum). So... All his speakers are in the front doors (2 doors car), and he has just told me that he doesn't care about the depth of the speakers. He's a good builder !!! He's using only Davis Acoustic for now. The one who blew was a coaxial, he took off the tweeter in them. He wants to cross them between 100 to 500 Hz, or lower. what to look for ? I know about Madisound or Part-express, and they deliver in my country. Budget ? I don't know but I think under $200 (+ shipping). Give me some ideas, opinions, directions please. Thank you !

Just a little curious : why not under 2 Ohms ? Get all that Cresc power ! I was scared to do it the first time, but finally my car like it ! I added a second battery just to be safe (after 2 years with the car !).

Nice looking amps. I'm looking for a bass amp, but their small price (even a bit cheaper than the DC amps) scares me !!! And the 3-4 weeks delay too ! I don't like pre-orders. You never know when you get your equipment. With those prices, they will sell faaaast !

I don't know for your calculations, but 3 ft3 is good for a sealed box. I ran mine in a box like that on 1500 watts, and it was sounding very very good. But you loose some output if you compare with a ported box. Stick with the 3 ft3 box.

Those pick-ups are huge ! But I don't feel the box on the back seats, take them out and put the box on the floor. What do you think ?

You sell that Icon and buy an Xcon DVC1 and a second saz1000. Run it ported, you'll love it! If you have room for a big box, get a second saz1000 and a second Icon. But I think the new Icons are different than the old ones. Good luck!

Thank you all for these informations. I don't see DC amps so often in builds, and there are very few topics about them. I think I've read that they were selling outside the USA only. It seems they have changed their mind, now ! DC 3500 SAZ 3000 refurbished Saz2500 used (when it comes) Crunch 3000 new, cheapest solution ... Still thinking ...

A DC 3500 is cheaper than a Sundown 2500 ! Got it ?! I don't know how are the build quality and the parts used in it, but it's a new option for me. MAP vs MAP it isn't. Dealer vs Dealer it isn't. So obviously you got quoted between dealer and MAP. But I wouldn't be surprised if the Sundown 2500d was close in output. Really, they are that bad ?! I don't think so, but who knows ? Not me !!!
