  1. Most important thing will be to go and take a listen to drivers if you can. I cant tell you how much money I have wasted buying stuff on line because people said they sound good. Even if you listened to some and came back here with likes and dislikes of what you listened to you could find some help and have a little more confidence buying on line. Good luck.
  2. Yeah lowes or HD will have it. YOu can also use some scraps of MDF from your box build. YOu want to tie the top to the bottom and the front to the back. Edit to add if you use scrap MDF make sure to round the corners. All the way to the bottom right above the pic of the T-Nut. Brace volume calculator
  3. If we eat Mexican I can get pretty damn loud around 30hz. I really wish I knew, one day i guess I will have to go to a show and find out.
  4. Depends on if the sub parameters match the box specs. Prolly best to just build a new box for the woofer.
  5. shoot for the optimal ported specs provided by ssa. They know better then anyone. They also already have some box designs up in the tech section on the home page.
  6. Looking good bro!
  7. This should be loud! Nice work man.
  8. Thats fair. Go to some shows, ask around and listen to people's set up around town. People love showing off their systems. Just ask them.
  9. Nice job Mark. That was your first time on the meter? I want to meter mine one day too.
  10. Chose one. Loud or SQ. My guess since you want 2 15's you want to be loud as shit and not sound like crap. Correct? You have plenty of room to build a proper enclosure for 2 15" BL's and that amp would be perfect for them. There is only one enclosure for the BL and that is ported. Follow the volume and port recommendations on Fi's web sight and you would be good to go! Subs up port back in an SUV.
  11. 4 18's of any woofer on this web sight would get it done.
  12. What is a lot room? What car? No one can give you an educated opinion if they don't know how much space you have to build an enclosure. So it kinda is a big deal if you want it to get loud or sound good.
  13. I bet his trunk lid is LOUD!
  14. Oh hellz no, not epic muddy midbass. You have not half assed one damn thing on this install and I am sure you will right get it bro. Shit looks fucking great!
  15. Way too much info here to make a guess. Dumb it down a little and let us know how much space do you have top work with?
  16. Good grounds are VERY important !
  17. I will pm you my paypal addy I am sure i could work something out for you. lol edit to add i think it has to do with post count.
  18. I almost borrowed a router and routed a square recess around the port and glued some molding in the recess. Like this But i juts glued it to the outside of the box around the port insrtead.
  19. Like by cutting the pieces at angles and then sanding? No, just rounding them with a router.
  20. I agree looks to be hit with a roundover bit. Looks well done too!
  21. Until you get your deminsions or a budget you are pissing in the wind. Maybe wait until you know what you want to do or can do.
  22. set your amps gain to match your hu output. anything more it will sound like shit and smoke your sub. Turn HU up to 75% max volume, turn the gain up on your amp until it does not get any louder and listen to the woofer for fatigue the whole time. (bottoming out would be a sign of fatigue) then back off it until it goes away and sound good again. Just listen to the sub, it will tell you if it does not like your setting and dont try to fool yourself, if it sounds bad it is dying a slow death. I find it helps to open the rear hatch and stand back from it a few feet and listen to it.
