  1. Thanks man. Let's do it! I would love to sit in your's as well and get some tips on tweaking my front stage. A basshead with an accurate front stage......is that even possible? lol
  2. I like that texture too. This is looking great. Cant wait to see it finished up.
  3. First thing I would do is make a choice between the 12's or the 15, but not both. Are you adding an 18 or replacing the others? Put a big battery in back with the amp and it "should" be fine with the big 3 and that. Just keep an eye on voltage and go from there.
  4. Dont forget to subtract the volume of the sub from than space. That will prolly get you down to 2 or just under, but You could add some polyfill if you need too.
  5. Come on down man. 87 today and 89 on Monday. Take the damn pollen back with you tho. lol It's fucking nasty outside right now, need a good rain for a few days to wash that shit away.
  6. Well I finally got around to painting my enclosure. I went with a color match to the factory panels in the Yukon and a flat black on the ports. I am on the fence with the results. It is a good match as far as color, but I think it turned out kinda blah. Anyone have some ideas or feedback, I am open to suggestions. This is one heavy ass enclosure. 49 1/2 x 28 1/2 x 27 1/2 double walled on every panel. I think my brother broke his nutz today helping me. Pussy. lol I am extremely happy with the results of the switch from 15's to the 18's. The bass is still very flat and tight across the board. These subs just do not lose control. My system is very much Jekyll and Hyde and I am loving it. I can throw some Van Morrison or The Eagles, back off the sub level, and chill or I can level 15 the fuckers and shake the doors with some R&B / Hip Hop. The subs blend perfectly with whatever I throw at them. My wife thinks I have lost it with the huge enclosure I am toting around now, but hey.....I still have 6 seats even with the 18" twins. Life is good. On to the pics...... Still no video, but soon.
  7. Nothing some sanding wont fix. Had to sand my box today before I painted it. Looks good.
  8. I was looking at this one. Looks good internally. 2 year warranty, .5 ohm rated Appears to be a good bang for the buck and would be on my list if I was looking. $550.00
  9. use drywall screws until you get a chance to return those and get some smaller. I would not drill my subs.
  10. Any idea when these will be back in stock? Thanks.
  11. Shit looks nice man. You have some serious fabrication skills. I cant wait to see the finished product. thank you for sharing this build with us.
  12. +5 for bass, and +6 for treble Turn both back to zero, there is no way that can sound good. You said it's bright, back the treble down to zero, then you will hear how muddy your bass is. lol Buy a bigger amp or more effecient drivers if you want to get louder, but the way you are set up now has fail written all over it.
  13. Nice. I like that area. Not as populated with tourists. Have fun with your new toy!
  14. I am sure it's 0/1. Where in SC are you? I am in Florence.
  15. Thank you for the kind words. Yea, the kicks were a short cut and it's telling on me now. I knew I had to keep the midbass and the midrange pretty close together and I thought I could pull it off in the kicks. Nope. I am going to play around a little bit and try them both in the doors and the tweeter in the pillars. At least it's warm now so I can take my time and try out some different things. Your team is having good luck in the pillars and with basically the same truck I may have to borrow a good idea or two from yall. At 39 I am still experimenting and learning. Prolly be that way till the day I die too. OCD FTW!! My sound stage is low on the dash. I can EQ it up some but the basshead in me fears i will blow them once I crank up the subbass and forget to go back to zero. Hard to tell whats going on with those monsters pounding in the back. Kids. Hell yea they can drive you nuts. I have 4 and I love them with all my heart, but there are times I want to put one up on ebay to the highest bidder. BTW, if you have one or two STOP! I do not recommend 4 to anyone. lol
  16. I want to hear these drivers. Sounds like you did quite well with them.
  17. Nice. Like the areo ports and how you have them set up. Any new pics?
  18. Great list of stuff and nice car. Good luck with your install.
  19. Damn, she going big. Good girl. How did you get that lucky? You are going to love the xcon. BTW, they are amazing sealed up. Still get loud as hell too. Keep those pics coming.
  20. nice stuff. What size xcon is she getting? Sealed?
  21. Looking good man. Should be a nice set up when finished. Keep those pics coming! First time using horns?
