  1. Ha Ha, trust me the tweeter will get MUCH louder. I have the level way down on them as that is not what I like. Next time your in Florence, hit me up and we can try out some different levels to see if you like it. Pro audio is not for everyone and really I didn't like most set ups that I listened to either, but I love the B&C drivers. With a little EQ they can really get down on midbass and are still loud and clear up in the vocals. Which is nice when you want to chill out and listen to something at a modest volume level. IE: wife and kids in the car. lol Good thing is when I want to turn the xcons up, you can still hear voice. Hard to do that with typical car audio drivers. Edit to add that the tweeter is IMO the weakest link in my system, but it works ok and it is what it is.................for now. Muhahahaha
  2. Nice score bro. Congratulations. I agree there are plenty of deals out there right now and interest rates are crazy! Great time to buy, bad time to sell. Edit to add.......it looks too cold in that picture. : )
  3. Come on down bro. Show me what your working with! LOL
  4. Wow, thanks a lot man. I really appreciate that! People get a bad experience from most pro audio set up with big mids and super tweeters because the person didn't spend any time dialing it in. It's not plug and play, you have to tweak it. It's easy to get really loud, but it's even easier to sound like complete shit. I know mine sounded like that at first too. lol With some time in the seat, you can smooth it out and can sound really good. Might not look as cool as the doors with 12 drivers in them, but I would rather sound good than have a cool door and I think it keeps up just fine like it is. As for the Xcons, I have always told Mark if more people could hear them they would love them. They are really great subs and can make a really nice ground pounder set up. You are not going to burp and fart your way to a trophy with them, but that is not the design. They are for people who enjoy their music and still want to get loud as hell. Thanks again for the kind words Bro. Makes me feel good that the time and effort put into this build was worth it. Let me know if I can help you out any with your build.
  5. I think the hype of watching Fi you tube vids has finally caught up with the masses. Seeing people put up HUGE numbers throwing shit loads of power on subs has everyone thinking it's soooooooo easy to do. Buy a big expensive amp and a Fi sub and you are magically are the loudest in town. Nope. That takes a lot more effort, knowledge, and testing than just lots money to waste to make that happen. So..... they crank on the amp gain because they are disappointed they didn't break the doors off their car like they saw on that video. Why? Because that's the only thing they have the knowledge of to make things louder. Buyers expectations are just too high. OP this is not directed at you at all. Just saying. Play around with your settings and dial it in. I am sure you will get it where you like it after some time playing around with it.
  6. Sweet car, sweet sub! Sealed or ported? Either way you will love it.
  7. Think of it as pre training for the Coast Guard. Your still young, you need to be helping your elders. lol Thanks Mark! Thanks Buddy! Thanks a lot Bro! Was good to meet you! Glad you liked it.
  8. I do not see any similarities to the B&C neo at all. Edit to add: looks are not what matters. I would like to see some specs.
  9. I would start out with a nice 2way active. Really easy to have a nice set up sound really bad. That Bravox 98GMC linked would be nice. You could play with them active if you wanted, but have the passive xover to fall back on if needed. Good luck.
  10. Discount! Them shits are worth twice that!
  11. Oh Hell no you didn't, Not the Sorbo Gel Q-Foot System. LOL
  12. I swear, I would have played along and made him work for it right up until I got to the cash register. The sales girl was pretty and had nice tits, but I was like nah we don't need this shit I got rcas at home. Well then, in that case I would have asked to see her tits. Chicks love that. lol

  14. Oh my, just when I thought my life couldn't get any better you go and show me the Solid Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) Conductors and Dielectric-Bias System. I must have this one. Damn you.
  15. I knew the moment I saw it, that watching TV would never be the same again. AudioQuest - Coffee 39.4' HDMI Cable - White
  16. Hard to say Bro. With the way things are right now, people are having a rough time no matter what they majored in. Business's around here are letting experience staff go because they can pay someone younger to do the job and pay them a third of what were. My friends wife was let go last month, she was in pharma sales making nice coin - one of the tops in the company. They let her go and hired someone right out of school with 1/3 of the base. Sounds good to someone just starting out, but when you get married and have kids, no so much. Good Luck to you no matter what decision you make Bro. PS: Sam Houston brings back good memories. I played baseball there a LOOOOONG time ago. lol
  17. I am going to need an update or you will be forced to donate that Rat to the save the Yukon fund. It was in the 60's here today and I know it had to be warmer down there.
  18. That shit is ridiculous Bro.
  19. Nice Bro! All of them wanted to cough, LOL. You are getting good at your video editing.
  20. What is your goal? There are lots of nice options in the SSA store.
  21. Damn, I bet it's painful to sit in that loud and at that low frequency. That is straight up badass !
  22. i have not done the big three yet. but my stock alt is 120amp and my grounds are all to bare metal and tight. Do the big 3 and double check that ground for resistance. Dont spend money you dont have to. Try the simple things first.
