  3. Thanks a lot man. I am honored that your first post was in my build! Sucks about your XL. Hope your Brother was okay. I have 5% tint on my list as soon as I finish messing around with all this crap. lol
  4. Update Time Got the box wrapped and put it in the Yukon. I ain't going to lie, this is one heavy bitch. The three of us were red faced and hurting after. The right corner got scratch up moving it from the porch to the truck and that sucks, but I ain't redoing it. Might try to use some vinyl repair from the parts store to see if i can make it look a little better. Anyone got any other ideas. Amps and batteries installed, still need to finish the battery box. I will wrap it in vinyl and put a lid on it to hide wires. The wires on top are not installed, they will go in the box and will be covered up with a lid. I will drill holes in the dividers and pass the wire through that to the next batteries. I thought real hard about not mounting the amps like this on the box, but in the end said WTF, they look good here so that's where they are going. The back wall of the enclosure is 1.5" thick and the amps are on a 3/4" baffle. Hopefully this wont be a bad move on my part. For some nighttime fun, wired some LED's in the box. My buddy said it looks like a fish tank. I agree. lol With the inside painted white it changed to glow to a aqua instead of a blue. I like it better. I had some help with the lights and have to give a shout out to my friend Sefugi. Thank you for all your help, it turned out better than I expected. Now I need to wiire up the subs and sub amps. Hopefully it wont be much longer. Everytime I think i just have just a little bit left to do, I am wrong. I am getting closer tho. :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing:
  5. Works damn great too! I love mine.
  6. Damn I wish you guys were my neighbors. VERY NICE!
  7. Cool, thanks for the vid. Does your girlfriend have a sister, I need a shop like that too!
  8. Good start bro. Looks clean. Keep the pics coming.
  9. Dom, thats what M5 is saying, you wont hear words with the super tweeters. Pro Audio mids are made to get loud as shit on vocals and that is what you should be looking at. Then you could add a tweeter or horn to bring up the higher frequencies. Most super tweeters only play in the higher frequencies not voice. They will not play low, just wont so you are looking at crossing them at 3500 - 5000hz so you will need a high efficiency mid that will play pretty high. In order to play that high, they crap out on the midbass. I don't think that's an issue with your install. you have to give up something to get something else. I just went through it myself and i am pretty happy with the end results.
  10. It says you are a male under your name.
  11. Those ST350's sound pretty good, but you have to cross them over pretty high. Lots of people seem to like the NX-5. I would say horns too, but they are a bitch to mount and tune. I really don't think image and staging is what you are after, just loud and clear. Am I right or no?
  12. Are you talking about this? Dual 12 ported Link If not, then here is another option.^ Yeah, Look at the Icon and Xcon boxes
  13. Look at the SSA tech section on the front page, they have dual 12 box plans and were designed by JBLCamry Win.
  14. The Deka's are nice and budget friendly which is good. XS are nice and have good reviews. I personally run Kinetik.
  15. a good group 31 that fits your budget. Search for Kinetik, XS, Deka
  16. I want that job
  17. It's that cold in the hollow depth of hell these days? lol Really nice start man. Are you still running them passive? You may have said, but i cant remember. Thanks for the pics.
  18. Nice vids. Welcome
  19. Damn that's loud at 34hz. Nice job buddy!
  20. Pics or didnt happen
  21. Do you think that would be enough to power a dcon sufficiently? The dcons RMS are @ 300 watts.. So I know they can handle a little over rating just like any other SSA product Dont really need to throw a lot of power on the dcons to get them loud. Put rated RMS on it in the optimum ported box and call it a day!
