  1. Come on bro, you know i want to hear what you think about the Selenium Vs. Crescendo. Spill it.
  2. I like it! Let us know if your amps get warmer then before.
  3. silicone would be best. Try a small amount on both sides. Your sub will "prolly" be okay.
  4. Huh? So you are on the fence with this topic?
  5. Dayum, that thing is massive!
  6. Wants to tune closer to his cabin peak for that turbo bass on the meter I would guess.
  7. Dont really have to give them a ton of power. Buy a 4ch and bridge it, that's what I am going to do with mine.
  8. :drink40: Back at ya! I know it's not Euro, but that's how us southern boys roll. lol
  9. Thank you Sir! I need to come to your neck of the woods and hit some trails! Thank you, it's getting there. One of my buddy's put one of those soccer ball magnets on it the other day. Made me LOL when I found it. He used to pick on me saying I was a soccer mom since I don't drive a truck anymore. He cant say that anymore! And Cranberryyumyum is 100% correct. Prep work is the most important part of painting. I have 3 coats of etching primer, 4-5coats of paint, and 4-5 coats of clear. If it chips, it wont be because I didn't try.
  10. Awesome. Looks like big fun. I am jealous.
  11. It will do great and prolly louder than 30hz on most music in most cars. People tune these so low because they will kill those low notes and it's fun as hell to shake the bolts lose!
  12. Yes, wire each sub to 2ohm and let the amp take you to 1ohm.
  13. My friend is building a Camaro so I know the effort it takes to pull this off. He is going crazy buying parts and fixing rust. Dont give up now bro. This is a classic. Keep the car and buy a better camera! lol
  14. Thanks Man! It moves a good bit both ways but yeah when it's right up on it does moves more. In fact, I cant push the button to open the glass anymore, seems the subs have knocked it loose. I would take the panel off and fix it, but with all the deadener and 1/2" Dynaliner foam back there it's a very tight fit. Not much reason to open the hatch anymore, not like I can put anything back there.
  15. Thank you Sir. I appreciate the kind words!
  16. Thats it. White it is. I am painting the lower valance now, had to take a break, HOT! youll have a problem getting the paint to stick on the chrome. people tried to warn me, but i thought i knew better. scuffed it up real good, painted it, and it looked real good for about a month. now its got so many chips ive gotta figure out what im gonna do next. probably gonna take a flap disc on a grinder and take the bumper down to raw metal and try again. From what I was told, you need to scuff it up real good and paint it with a few coats of self etching primer prior to painting. Mine is not in great shape now so worst case it dont work and I will find a Denali or or similar bumper cover and slap on it. does it seem like theres any difference in sound with the ports so close to the hatch? Not like you would think. It didn't change my score on the meter at all either. Right up on the hatch it still moves enough air to pull off a hair trick. I will say this, it seems to be louder to the ear pushed back and maybe sounds a little better, but it's a close call.
  17. Thank you Sir, I need the cool painting toys you have. Chrome has it's place, but not on this project. Me = rattle can and LOTS of wet sanding.
  18. Looks good man. rice-rod ...... I like it!
  19. I put VHT nightshade on the turn lamps, is that what you mean by tint or actual window tint? LOL, yeah, those are fugly! I would take them off and run nothing (free lift kit), but the kids need some help getting in there or they will pull shit off. I know these fuckers and they are destructive. lol I am thinking of putting black nerf bars there instead. They would certainly look better than what is there now. I am undecided on painting the front bumper black or white. I want the lower trim piece the same color as the grill, but it may be too much black up front. I could always paint flat and gloss black to break it up a little bit. Thoughts?
  20. ^ Yup, 1/4 x 20
  21. Thank you Sir. Those headlights stick out like a soar thumb now. Wish now I had bought the one's with black inside instead of chrome. Anyone with a Yukon want some nice projector lamps with HID's on the cheap?
  22. cut your port to the physical port length. The port length you see that is longer is what the woofer sees taking in to account end correction and how many sides the port uses. Cliffs notes use the physical port length to make your cuts.
  23. What program are you looking at?
  24. IF I understand you correctly, your physical port length is 16" and this is what your actual port is cut to, but the woofer will actually see the port as 22".
