what kinda air space would the 4 15 inch nightshades need. i wouldnt want to move up in speaker size if i cant get good box space

i can keep the 3000ds in the 13 14 volt range. its not a problem as far as that i know its so many classes and diff things in each one as far as batt size speaker amount and what not. what is a good class to start in

im thinking about being done with the idea of twelves all together what do you guys think one sundown 18 or two 15's can they handle two 3000ds strapped daily at 2 ohms. i wanna move some air they will be going in 88 delta, but i have a 92 honda accord also which i have thought about using i am wanting to get in to spl wich would be a good starting point.

also is there a certain lenght the rca cant be when u are going from br in and br out ????

i also found that not having enough amp hours worth of cells would make my 300 amp CB trip.... i ran 3 yellow tops on 1 saz 3000d and found my self tripping CB's...... what im trying to say is.... 4 or 5 yellow tops IMO would not be enough for 2 saz 3000d's and you will find your self with the same problem.... as far as half ohm... never tried it i like my warranty. when u did run with three batteries what was your voltage drop because usually your amp doesn't try to pull to much current unless your voltage drops to low right ?? as voltage decreases amperage increases and vice verse ??

yes indeed, i bought the other two dd's because i had two already. the ones i already had i had hooked to one 3000 at half ohm they took the power nicely. the screws broke holding one speaker though and it fell out the box all that power is tearing stuff up. but yes sundown subs are in my future

quick question if u run a 3000d at half an ohm do u keep the same fuse or change it because it will pull more power right i have a 300 amp fuse in it now i had it at half ohm popped the fuse didnt go into protect replaced the fuse then put it back two 1 ohm everything is fine... just wondering.... btw the voltage didnt drop below 14.0v when it was at half ohm.

my power wire is 1/0 im using four guage for the negatives on the speaker term on the amps when i strap em. is that what u are saying. Just as long as your main power wires going into the 12+ and - on the amps are 1/0 I'm happy so are my amps :bigclap:

i tried to break em them in but it was loud no matter how low i played it ( no pun intended )

Dang i have never had an amp so powerful. i got home from iraq and strapped my two sundown 3000ds together.i used 4 gauge on the negatives and and 8 gauge going to the speakers. got rid of the mtx 12's and put two dd 3512's my trunk two i already had(four all together now). the new ones never had a chance they both went out gotta send em back they didn't burn up just got stuck. its hard not to play em loud when that's all your amps know is loud. i couldn't even put everything on the meter.something happened to my slave amp have to send it back. when i get everything back i will just use one amp to break everything in. the two sundowns are more efficient than my one stetsom was. with both amps my voltage never went below 13.0 volts with just the one it never went below 14.8 stayed around 15.2 i love these amps so much power but with power comes responsibility. so when i get everything back i will have to break it in slow. but thanks Jacob for making more power than i will ever need.

good that will be my next purchase.

will the 100.4 work fine off of a factory charging sytem with only on battery ?? that is the amp im leaning towards

I have two seperate electrical systems running in my car each with there own alternator. Rite now i have 12 volt yellow tops in the rear with my voltage set at 15.5. if i run the 16 volt batteries in the rear, i can turn up my regulater on my alternator for the 16-18v and still have the factory system, also i could run my car on a 16 volt system it is older and no computer the ignition is msd digital 6, they are made for 12 -18v systems. My lights would just be brighter. thanks though.

hey quick question can you run the 3000ds daily on a 16-18 volt system. i think jacob 4 3500ds on six 16 volts right, do u think that many batteries would be necessary with just the two 3000ds. also I can turn my voltage up to charge such a system.I see that the 4 channel that sundown makes only runs up to 16 volts will it hurt it at like 16.5 17.5. I figured it would just be cheaper to sell my yellow tops and switch to 16-18 volts and get more power from what I have. but I would also need a four channel that can run on such a system. (if there is one) what does anyone suggest.

well..... yes i had just one big ported box... i had the mtx 9500 in it.. i bought a system for my Honda accord one of those small boxes and the 2 3512's. i swapped the two 3512's for the mtx 9500 in the big box they sounded the same.... my honda started leaking in the trunk. so i bought the other box and just put all four in the trunk i was going to swap them for them for 4 9512's.... but i have since decided to run sundown i like the quality and my box builder told me the nightshades where bad ass... it is loud but i know its not at its full potential.....

becouse that is my setup my stetsom is getting replaced with my two sundowns saz 3000ds those speakers are also going to be replaced with nightshades. its the before (im converting) i was trying to figure out how to put pics on this forum is all. that 3000 runs circles around the 2k so does the customer service.
