  1. Wow, looks great. What alts are going on that beast?
  2. They're the same subs, how are they going to sound different? If anything the tuning of the box is going to change how they sound, not the number of speakers.
  3. #5 I like the idea of each sub line having it's own color. GL with this all, man.
  4. Thank you, thank you!
  5. Original boxes Perfect condition Even the sticker it came with, and plastic bag. Warranty card And the mids/tweets. He said they were made down in cali, cant remember what brand though. Here is the box he built for it all. Mids and tweets each have their own compartment, and it's tuned to who knows what, he just threw some PVC in a hole and called it good haha Grill to hide it all Anyone have any idea if any of that stuff is worth anything? It's all is near perfect condition, just dirty a little. I'm impressed by it. it's all about 15-20 years old.
  6. One of his old school RF amps. And the Punch 150. The cooling fins are pretty wickid
  7. Yeah, he surprised me when he took me up to his attic and showed me his old audio stuff he had in his El Camino. 2 10" crunch subs, ran off a RF punch 150 amp. Had some 8"s as well with some 6" mids and some tweets. Check it out! Has most of the original boxes and everything. Check out the spiders in there, pretty different than what i'm used to. Magnets were pretty darn beefy, took more than expected to pick them up haha Made in America!
  8. Does the equipment have to be working, or would you take it with a reasonable price knowing it's broken? Say a 2008 model RF 500.2 that sends out D current or something like that (that's what the local shop told me 2 years ago, haven't messed with it since).
  9. Alrighty. So to house those 12s i went to Bromo, with Eclectic Enclosure Designs (<- Click!!). I had one design ready for me, but after tweaking the height he surprised me with a new one that fits perfectly, just smaller than the first. This box is 1.7 ft^3 per sub, tuned to 34.75 hz. with 3 6" aeros. There is just over 12 in^2 of port area per ft^3. Seems perfect to me. On with some pics. First night cuttin' and starting to glue. Starting to line things up.. And through the magic of internet, seconds after we start... All is cut! Mock up And here's Paul, the guy helping build all this. Couldn't have done this without him, HUGE thanks to Paul. We glued the sides together and the bottom on the first night, that's where we stopped. I believe we may have done this in the wrong order though. First we glued the sides together to make a square, then put the bottom piece one, which after lining the top piece it was a fraction off of square. Would starting with the bottom and adding side pieces to it have corrected this issue? Either way it's not off too much, just a little sanding and it wont be noticeable.
  10. Just read your other post. You've already been told, and form what i saw, agreed to run the 2kD why make another thread?
  11. to give you ideas on how to enhance something. We actually need info on what you're doing...
  12. And who is to say you wont be happy with 2k? Could be too much even, never know.
  13. It may make a diff. on the meter, but probably not to your ear. The general rule is that you need to double your power to notice anything. It's going to depend on box, install, person yada yada yada. But i would say not worth the strain on the electrical.
  14. Schweet! Looks solid, you've put a lot of effort and thought into this. It will pay off once you hear them
  15. couple black FiDay X 10s? Don't forget to budget wire in there. Also if you don't want to try the diamonds, you could do the CF coaxials. Their component sets have a great following. These can't be too far behind. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/products/Bravox-Audio-CX60CF-Coaxial-Speakers.html
  16. Fiday X series 12s
  17. measurements of trunk? what kind of ports do you want? any more info?
  18. 2 of each! lol If you already have 2 SA, then just get the rest so you dont have to deal with selling them.
  19. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/categories/Speakers/ link to bravox, they're getting some pretty darn good reviews around here. Be sure to check them out. go to a local shop/show and try and listen to some stuff, see what you like.
  20. I wouldn't bother with the rears. Check out the Bravox in the SSA store, i believe there is a deal with a comp. set and amp going on right now.
  21. Happy late birthday!
  22. Great stuff. Nice ideas, too! Keep it up
  23. I like the Lexus and the Fiesta
