saz1500d repair?
Db-r quoted me ~$100 for a complete rebuild on a SAE-1200D. I would think the price would be similar on the SAZ but I could be completely wrong.

Big thanks to Sundown!
I was talking to Matt about a meet here in town. My SDCs are sounding a LOT better now with the new amp. I'm very happy with the SAE-1200Dv2.

That used to happen to me with my old Cadence TXA1000D, 4g wire, and my stock battery.

Big thanks to Sundown!
I just wanted to post a thread saying thank you to Jacob over at Sundown for some excellent customer service. It could not have gone any better. Story: A few weeks ago I started to have problems with my SAE-1200Dv1. It was mysteriously jumping in and out of protect. I tried to troubleshoot myself but could not get it working, so I sent Jacob an e-mail for some assistance. He asked me to verify my voltages with a DMM and everything checked out alright. However, the amp was still going into protect. After about a week of troubleshooting, trying to avoid an RMA, he decided it was best to just send the amp in. All I had to do was give him the invoice from where it was originally purchased and I would be good to go on the RMA. Here, is where I thought I was screwed. I had bought the amp used so I never thought I would get the original invoice. Determined to get my amp working again, I messaged the guy who I bought it from and he was more than happy to give me any help I needed. (THANKS DOCTOR Q!!) So I packed it up with the invoice printed out and shipped it on to Sundown. It also just so happened I sent my amp in during the SBN week and I know Jacob was probably swamped with a million other things to do. Sundown received my amp Friday morning and on Monday I had a tracking number stating a BRAND NEW SAE-1200Dv2 was already being shipped to my door. Now, here we are Thursday the 18th, and I'm sitting with a brand new amp. So again, thank you Jacob and everybody at Sundown for the great customer service! Keep doin what you're doin!! I love supporting companies that support their customer.

Subwoofer fix
You mean your tinsel lead snapped? Do you still have the wire or is it completely gone? From what I understand, that's a pretty simple fix with just a bit of soldering required.

TEX MEX 2010
Haha cool. I've been wanting to see all the changes you've made to the 'lacc. Maybe once I get my shit going we can hit up the flea market again.

TEX MEX 2010
You ain't lyin man. We got you and me and Hugo (onebadmonte) from SA that I know of, I know a few more people wouldn't mind coming down. I met this dude Edgar here on SSA that's out of San Antonio too. Has 2 BL 18s on 2500rms that sound real nice. I could probably find a bunch of people to come, though. My amp just got shipped from Sundown today. My SAE-1200Dv1 died so Jacob is sending me a brand new 1200Dv2.

Team Sundown Expedition
Yeah it should bang. Can't wait to see the final product.

Running .67
Yeah anything under 1ohm isn't covered by the warranty. Although I would think the SAZ could handle .67ohms. After imp rise you wont see that anyway.

If you are waiting on anything.
I just sent mine out. Just the opposite for me! haha. Good luck at SBN! I know Sundown will make a strong showing.

TEX MEX 2010
A little far from San Antonio. If I had my system in the car I would probably go but my amp is being sent to Sundown right now. Hey Matt, we should get a San Antonio thing going sometime. Save us some gas. haha

Comp. Set Install
If you want, there is this stuff called plast-dip which you can use to coat the rings. You can buy it at pretty much any hardware store, in the paint section.

The box you have now is more suited for a 21" than a 15". It's WAY to big for a single 15".

Four Q's vs Four Bl's? What differences can you expect?
The Qs would be fine off that power. 4 on 4,000rms means 1,000rms a piece, which is what they are rated for. Your buddy will probably be happy with either setup. The BLs will probably do better numbers on the meter, though. Don't doubt the Q in it's output ability. I've heard 2 Q 15s on an AQ2200 and they got plenty loud.

Using my computer as a phone
Hm, well I will get back to you tomorrow unless someone beats me to it. Like I said, I never used it myself.

Using my computer as a phone
I'm not 100% how it works as I never used it myself. As long as you have a mic and some speakers/headphones you should be able to use it. If he isn't too busy tomorrow I'll ask my dad how he went about setting it up. I do know it is a subscription you have to pay yearly for.

Using my computer as a phone
My dad used Skype to call me while he was in Iraq. Worked well and was pretty clear.

Ads in posts.
Lucky you. For me they are in the first 2 posts of every page. Firefox + Adblock+ should take care of that for you. I didn't even know what you were talking about until I disabled it in my browser and then reloaded the page. (sorry mark lol) Have it and it doesn't seem to filter those ads out.
