  1. to hook that up it looks like you fun your power wire from your battery to the fuse holder then from the other end to the amp! as to get the voltmeter to turn on you would hook that blue wire up to the relay on pin 87! make sense? so it looks like this! - - - - = wire //-\\ = fuse + = amp -------- = blue wire on the fuse holder - - -//-\\- - - + ---------------------pin 87 sorry for the crappy drawing!
  2. well I was a bit busy with school and all but long story short the escort is back up and running! here is the before pic: and here is the after pics: almost like it never happened! total fix only cost 500$! we ended up picking up a scrap car, same year/model, the scrap car had a blown motor notice the missing piece (not the motor) notice how we had to use a jig saw and cut out of the red car the extra pieces we needed then we just welded the new piece in there! lol! good times!
  3. yes you can use the remote wire from the h/u to the sub amp then to the speaker amp. back in the day that would be no no as old h/u didn't supply enough power to power two amps. but truly the best way to wire up multiple amps would be to put it on a relay setup. notice in the attached picture: you plug your Remote wire from the back of the h/u (blue) into port 80 you plug a 12vdc (from battery) into port 30 you ground on plug 86 (to the body of the car) and you plug your amps into 87 you can get a relay for a few bucks and you should look for a 12vdc 20amp relay you should be able to get one at radio shack or something like that. I have a relay in my car and I am using a single 12v 20amp relay to power 3 amps, and 4 80mm fans!
  4. Tons there with a new fully finished review on all 13 brands! and some of those brands were purchased from ebay! lol
  5. that is a good start and a crazy looking box so far! screw much? lol! jk! what is this going into that SUV in the background of some of the pics?
  6. hey man welcome to the forums! this is a great place to learn and ask question! Just don't ask to many dumb ones lol! now in regards to your above question! that amp and that power to the fronts and rears will be plenty of power and it will sound great! don't kid yourself 70rms is nice! now for the DCON isn't that sub rated as a 300rms sub? and that amp can supply nearly 450rms! in short you will be good! I think that 5 channel amp will do the trick for you! it can supply enough power to all the speakers in your car!! congrats nice pic! what is the price on that 700.5 amp? also about your box you said you wanted to go ported? good pick! if you need help with the box you can ask it here but if you want to pay someone to do your box design for you, you should talk to Ram design (member on this forum) he is a nice guy! http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/user/17102-ram-designs/ he also has a web site! as for wiring you can either get an amp kit or just make your own amp kit! as in purchase wiring, fuses, rca, and away you go! a great site to get nice pricing on kits would be KNU Koncepts, and if you want to make your own that site will work and you can also check out welding supplies for cheap wiring! http://www.knukonceptz.com/productMaster.cfm?category=Amp%20Installation%20Kits just make sure to buy enough RCA's! lol

  14. hey how is everyone doing? the night is over and the morning has started?
  15. Thanks. Honestly, I have no idea what the ports being the way they are is going to do. I'm not into all the brainiac rocket science of building enclosures. If it doesn't sound right I'm just going to convert it into a sealed box, the rear sealed chamber is already the size needed for a regular sealed box. I'm sure between the 2 options 1 of them will work out. Thanks. I'm just making the best of what I have. you are well planned ahead! that is awesome!!!!
  16. o ya the isaca disk I still need to get me one of those bad boys! lol! i keep borrowing my buddies and I never think to make a copy or actually buy one lol!
  17. wow nice work man! I love it! quick question though with the ports being on top of 2 out of 4 woofer will that not give you an issue with sub loading or something along those lines? also that box looks very nice!! I hope it all turns out good for you man!
  18. hey I wish the best for everyone in the middle of this crap. i wish I could stay up and keep an eye out but I have an early exam so i must get to bed, but i will check out what is up when I get up tomorrow! again good luck and be safe and i will say a pray for you guys! i wish you all the best!

  24. that is what it looks like, man i hate to see stuff end in bad blood. heck I wish I had a TL and lived in Florida and i would pop down there and ask if i could run your sweep on his car lol! problem(s) solved. wait didn't you say your sweep was a good 2minutes long so this whole thread could have been avoid for 2 GOSH DARN minutes with a TL? The owner of the vehicle doesn't own a TL, he has to find someone close by with one and find the time to meter, or wait for a show. o got ya! sorry for some reason I thought he did or someone close to him did my bad! hey so what does meter time run for now a days? I got a buddy who charges me 20$ for the whole day of testing. but that is me and my buddy who lives in Canada though how are things run down there?
