  1. That battery looks cracked ... and you are telling me that carbon monoxide is not poisonous ?? I can't see this crack all I see is a missing piece of rubber if it is cracked I would need to see a different picture of this crack and how far it goes. yes carbon monoxide is not fun stuff but why would he be using a non sealed battery in his car? He has not even called them or given us a model so for all I know this is a sealed battery and humor is hard to express on the web, seriously look at what I posted "don't worry about funes! no death ever" I assumed it was common knowledge that CO was bad stuff but since I don't even know what kind a battery this is or nor if the battery is cracked or how bad all I know is it is an AGM battery the OP needs to do some more research and then go from there bottom line!
  2. lol it is a baby battery! and cute at that! maybe just grab a xs power battery from here maybe the D1200 or D1400 i think it is?
  3. so we are looking at the top of the battery? and there is no post? or did a little plastic cover just fall off? The only time when I wouldn't use a battery is if it was cracked! that battery just looks like it is missing something to make it look pretty! and don't worry about fumes! no death ever!
  4. the battery he linked us to is a sealed battery so no need for vents! as fro the one in the picture maybe he has a big whole in the trunk somewhere!
  5. 1200watts at 12VDC = 100 amp! AKA you sized your solenoid to small! now i must ask what amp(s) are you running and power capacity will you be tapping? one run of 1/0 can support around 250amps and on 12volts that is 3000watts ~ ish also as you increase the runs you can use one beefy solenoid or multiple people use solenoids to isolate the starting battery from the rear batteries as to not kill there starting battery when the car is off for a comp where car is off! so what are your goals for this setup? and here is hold to wire a solenoid
  6. pretty sure the amp has two rca's one is an input from the h/u (top one) and the other one is an output to another amp (bottom one) as for linking them like the SAZ series I don't know I think you have to gain match best thing to do is just give them a call and have them send you the actual manual via e-mail or just ask there tech support how to do it! but If I was you I would get the manual via e-mail that way you can ask us questions of things you don't understand as the manual says.
  7. wow this looks interesting! modular voice coil without ripping the sub out! you guys should watch the video! I would actually love to try one out! http://www.bostonacoustics.com/SPG555-P567.aspx
  8. nice! I assume there is no ETA on when to expect them in! I guess I will have to keep my eye's open and check back everyday now! ;p I will let everyone I know! Will you be selling home audio equipment?
  9. And that is what I was looking for thanks for your reply and helping me understand what was going on and modifications that were made
  10. ..... (shorted this up to save space please view up to see what went down! ) Is your world really that small? ..... (shorted this up to save space please view up to see what went down! ) Oh, and why do you think I'd personally give a shit whether Skar is doing "quite well"? Need to puff your chest up much? Pathetic. M5, Whatever floats your boat sir...If you think I wake up in the morning to "Puff" my chest for you - I laughed.... On a side note - I apologize to anyone's post who got deleted earlier today in the SKAR section, and welcome anyone to revisit and ask questions as needed and they will get answered. Regards, Kevin I would like just a few questions initial answered from above! That leads to 3 questions: 1) What are these "actual higher results"? 2) What was the test methodology for determining these "actual higher results"? 3) Why is the amplifier not rated at the "actual higher results" if that is the level of their true performance and you're just going to add a disclaimer that the rated power is less than their actual power anyways?
  11. god no! it isn't mine! lol! mine is 2-SAZ2500 1-sax100.4 2-Zapco RB 5.25 2-Night shade 12inch 2-nsb batteries take a peak at my build! http://s138.photobucket.com/albums/q269/CcCrazy/2-12inch%20NS%20v1/ other ones also on there worth checking out if you are board lol! here is my brothers build
  12. o g's! bring on more pictures of the strut job! lol
  13. I like it! so every time I see a bobble of something that has a 40% alcoholic content does that mean it is a new bobble or still the same one... but I like that build! don't forget to upgrade the shocks to take in the extra weight!
  14. subscribed for the answers of course lol!
  15. nice start! nice equipement as long as your final install doesn't look like this you will be good! :
  16. very nice! PS you need longer screws to hold the sub down though!
  17. OP good guy here! He is the dealer you have been looking for lol!
  18. well look at it like this 4/0 has a area of 107mm^2 while 1/0 has a area of 53.5mm^2 so 4 runs of 1/0 would be better as there is more area then a single run of 4/0 could supply. I am not sure how much amperage 4/0 can support but I know (depending on the brand) 1/0 can support around 250-300amps. Since you are only running 5000rms, which could pull say 400amps (on 12 volts DC) , also I assume 4/0 could handle a fair amount current. plus running a single run of wire is much easier. To support my 5k (2-saz2500) I use 2 runs of 1/0 wire and on the positive runs. I also have the big 3 done to my car so the body is acting as one big ground to start with plus I have multiple spots grounded on my car to help with this. but that is how I see it! do the single run of 4/0 if it is cheaper! I don't know how flexible it will be but let us know how you like it
  19. it is a very nice amp and priced at 250$ bnib is amazing! you can normally find one for about 150-175 used!

  21. LOL looks like I spent to much time typing and not enough time waiting! ya the above amp AQ 750 is a mono amp and what subs do you have? and or how much can they handle? also what kind a car? build log? and electrical upgrades?
  22. with those specs above each sub will get 150 watts. here is how you read it: Watts per channel @ some ohm load so 300x1@4ohm = 300 watts on 1 channel at a load of 4ohms if I was you I would wire the subs to a 1ohm load! this equals more power! http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=2&I=42#results also the above specs are for a MONO amp not a 2 channel amp. Which amp do you have? Also on ALL mono amps they have 4 output terminals which are commonly internally paralleled for easy wiring/ hooking up of speakers. So don't confuse a mono for a 2 channel based on the number of output terminals! specs for a two channel amp would look like this 125W x 2CH @ 4ohm Stereo 200W x 2CH @ 2ohm Stereo 400W x 1CH @ 4ohm bridged and specs for a 4 channel could look like this 100W x 4CH @ 4ohm stereo 160W x 4CH @ 2ohm stereo 320W x 2CH @ 4ohm bridged
  23. looks like something I did but with OFC mostly wires lol! I don't know I would never skimp on the wire that runs my car audio, no wires no music!
