Yeah Silva vs Griffin should be interesting but unfortunately I think it has the potential to go really bad for Forrest. As far as Florian - Penn, I wouldn't have thought Florian stood a chance about 4 or so fights ago. Now though hes really improved and I think it will be an awesome fight. I still got to go with BJ though. We'll just have to see. ya the silva griffin fight should be interesting. Silva is a great fighter and griffin is well ok at best imo. idk though silva is moving up is weight so that could be the only advantage for griffin i could see. i really wanna see a gsp vs silva i think that would be great. gsp is my favorite and IMHO the best pound for pound fighter in the world right now. i thik he would he would silva the fight of his life and beat him. Going up in wieght didn't slow Silva down against Irvin , but Forrest is tough SOB and you know your gonna get 110% with him at all time. Thats why people love him so much. Unfortunately, I don't see any way he gets out of that fight without getting hurt. I'm pretty sure the only way your gonna ever beat GSP is if you knock him out. Short of that, I don't see anybody outdoing him on any of the different aspects of the game. Hes either, way better, or at worst just as good in everything than everybody. Except for the stand-up. Silva has devastating stand-up . GSPs has sick stand-up, but Silva is on another level IMO. I would have to pick Silva in that fight . I'd be pulling for GSP though. Hell,if he can get that nasty wrestling going and wear Silva down, who knows. The fight would be totally insane , that's for sure.

Didn't catch your thread beforehand. Good picks you had it pretty much called. The show was really good. MMA is really starting to get covered heavily by the mainstream outlets now. Dana White had one of the head honchos from ESPN in the audience and he was impressed so its only a matter of time before they start covering the UFC a lot more in my opinion. ESPN already has that web only MMA show, MMA live. I Bet they bring that to TV. Oh yeah and Lesner is a freakin Beast! My favorite part of the night though was seeing Hendo shut Bisping the F up.

Yeah, heard about as much after doing a little searching. Sounded like they were more for removing the springs or something. Anyway, how much ballpark do you think springs would cost? I don't know enough to try to cut the springs myself. Could I have that done or would I or someone I know have to be able to do it?

Yeah, I want to lower the whole thing. The p71 has different springs that make the car set higher than the standard Vic. This is not something I want to spend too much on. If I could do it with that lowering kit(link), at that price, I'd go for it. What do ya think?

I got a '01 Crown Victoria Police Crusier and I want to drop the car 1.5 to 2 inches. Down here in Miami, were seeing about the same type of temps(with 90% humidity) that your seeing around your way. Post your results on how well that Heat Wave works because I got a dark navy blue car and while probably not as bad as your car, it still attracts a hell of a lot of heat. This is something I might definitely be interested in. I hate getting in the car and not being able to breath.

In case you didn't already come across this info,you need two things. Alpine PXA-H100 - http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/products/product.php?model=PXA-H100 & Alpine KTX- H100 - http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/products/product_acc.php?model=KTX-H100 The first one is the main unit or the brain so to speak which will give you T/A, EQ etc. The second is a sound calibration mic and software that calibrates your system according to the interior of your specific car through a PC. You don't really need this part as you can do the T/A etc manually and without it. The calibration mic though, is supposed to tailor the sound to your specific car like I said and is supposed to be the finishing touch. When you hook the PXA-H100 up, that "Imprint" button on your deck will become active. I got both units sitting right here in front of me waiting to be installed with my IVA-W505. Anyway, hope this helps.

I think I'll take a step back and just do some more research before doing anything. Your right though, that grill is smaller than the speaker will be. Its a pretty crappy grill design if you ask me. Then again ,sound quality apparently wasn't too much of a focus for Ford in this situation. By the way, where would I find those Hertz comps at? I never could find too much in the way of pricing etc. , so I never gave them a closer look. - Thanks gotta find a local dealer. hertz is very protective of their name and dealers.... awesome speakers. where are u located man. i might be able to do some leg work for ya Found a local dealer. I never really gave Hertz a long look because I really couldn't find that much pricing info or a dealer for that matter. Seen a couple sets on eBay, but thats about it in the US. I've heard nothing but good things about them I and still wouldn't mind giving them a look before I end up buying some Image Dynamics comps I'm looking at. -Thanks I bought mine from a dealer in the St Louis area. I don't like to buy to much on the internent because of the counterfit products. I listened to Hertz, Dynaudio, Focal and Polk, for the money and SQ Hertz was the pick for me. Good stuff. I've figured out now that if I want them new, I can only do this from an authorized dealer. I've already been in email contact with the company and waiting to hear back from them after giving them my location ,zip. Hopefully they can point me to a dealer down here in Miami. Thanks.

Components were the only way I ever was gonna go. Those ID 5x7s are components. I'm most likely gonna go with 6.5s now though.

What kind of other options would you suggest? I'm open to any suggestions or advice. I might very well end up going with the most conventional option(61/2s comps in the doors), but I'd still like to see what other possibilities there are. Also, message received on the 5x7s.

Do you guys still make these? I checked the website and I couldn't find them. I'm already gonna get a bunch of Damplifier Pro for my doors and I was curious about these. Thanks in advance.

I'm not going for an SQ set up as much as just trying to maximize the over all sound quality for "my" tastes. When I say "my" tastes I just mean that it might take a little less to satisfy me then some of you guys that have had all kinds of different set ups and been there done that so to speak. I just feel that components like the ones I'm getting or any other nice comp set behind door panels(especially mine) can hinder thier performance. Am I off base on this? the only issue is your comparing apples to oranges here. Lets face the facts: your stock speaker location isn't the worst but its pretty bad, 6.5s will sound better then 5X7s, components will sound better then coax (most of the time) and yes a speaker behind a grill especially as oddly shaped as ur stock one will sound worse then one without said grill. BUT there's alot of different ways to play your cards and honestly both can sound pretty good if you try hard enough. I would think it over first and see how possible its going to be to get those pods made in and looking good. If you have doubts and think it might be too much then spend the money you would on the pods and do something like the hertz energy 5X7 component set with the tweeters mounted in the a pillar or flush mounted somewhere in the door. Add a door pack of second skin damp pro into the mix and maybe even a speaker tweeker behind the woofer and youll have one damn badass "stock" setup. I'm think I'm gonna just go with the stock locations, and get as much Damplifier Pro as it takes, and let an EQ do the rest. I don't need perfection and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be more than happy with the results after the doors are deadend up. Pods are something I might want in the future but it might be overkill for me at this point. I've heard the Image Dynamics XS 65s and I love the way they sound so I'm gonna roll with the 5x7 version, the XS-57s http://www.imagedynamicsusa.com/products.php?Family_Id=7&Product_Id=35 . I've heard nothing but great things about Hertz too and I'm sure those would sound great, I've just heard the IDs and thats what I want. So I'll probably just end up doing just what you described but just with the ID set. So stock and Damp Pro it is. Thanks to all for the advice. I really appreciate it.

I would not do it. It could be a perfect solution to mounting options/space but to me it seems over time all the vibrations the amp would be subject to is not gonna be good for the long term life of the amp. I'm sure though plenty of people with way more knowledge than me will chime in. Just my 2.
