  1. I dont see why not. US Amps are sold in the SSA shop and I havent heard any bad things about them. I think the rms wattage is at 14.4 volts though.
  2. It seems you are in love with the look as much as the system or maybe a little more? Great lookin ride dude.
  3. Thats a sweet starting point. Sounds like a solid foundation. Good luck!
  4. The head and the main look like my old collie. What a nice thing to do.
  5. For the price, this is hard to beat. I just dont know if its too big for your install. Deka 9A31

Thats nice to say but its hardly anything, I know. I split my time between both rides and as of lately its a little to cold to work on them. Need to get back on it. More deadening! i will have to look up what part of CA. you live in before i accept it is a little too cold, lol. I knew someone was going to call me on that! These west coast temperatures arent shit compared to what you midwestern boys get, I know. Hell it doesnt even snow (close to Sac) here. Not even close. Ever. I do need to get on the goodfoot and get these projects done! Thats it, no more procrastinating! Im going to have to retract that statement about snow cause hell hath frozith overith. I made a topic about it already. Still not as cold though as you guys.
  7. Have you thought about using an external port? It would make sense to get the most volume you can under the seat ion that enclosure. Bigrank916, i hoped you or shizzon would chime in. thanks. i have thought about some aeros. i know sub up port back seems to yeild the best sound but the back ot my box is only like 7 inches inside so a slot would be real tricky Im sure shizzon would have a few better ideas than I, but I will surely try to help. I think some aeros would do pretty well for your install. You want to keep as much volume as possible for the BTL so an external port would be best. You mentioned in previous posts that you werent into show style installs so the look wouldnt matter too much. Plus since its under the seat, you wont see it anyway.
  8. I always loved those body styles. My stepfather has a 86 GT 5.0 convertible and the lines are terrible in my opinion. I believed they switched from 87-93 or 94 for your body style. It looks much better. I think it has to do with the ground effects and a different nose. Gook lookin ride dude. I like the white but I couldnt do it. Is that a five speed or an automatic?
  9. Congrats dude. Take pics for your build log!
  10. Believe Im when I say Im not trying to make RF look inferior in any way. Just giving an idea for a cheaper alternative. It probably is a good price for a RF but he even mentioned SSA store is cheaper. Ive owned a few RF amps as well and they are nice.

  12. Remember those specs are in ideal conditions. Sundown rates almost all amps at 12.5 volts instead of the 14.4 industry standard. You can fully expect rated power from a sundown in a proper everyday install.
  13. Three cubic feet for each driver. Six cubic feet total. Not squared.
  14. need all the help i can get been away from the scean for many years now. lol. and can't believe 1500 watts that cheap. but i hope so.lol. wow just saw ssa store has it for 485$ now i know it's true. will it work for a couple of hours with out getting hot on 2 l7 15 . i know they say the kickers can't take much power over rms so the 1500 should be perfect just don't want it getting hot to fast. thanks. I would look at one of these from Jacob. SAZ1500D used Its from the owner himself with warranty. Smaller footprint also. Im not sure if its the kicker or fosgate that has the fixed 45hz subsonic filter setting but the sundown is variable.
  15. If your budget is around $300, try looking at this which is only $50 more. Audioque 2200D It is widely considered of much higher quality. I wouldnt buy a BXI to pair with Fi drivers but thats me. I have one now but am waiting to change it out. No fuse is needed between the alt and the first batt. The fuse from batt #1 should be no more than 8-12" away from the batt. The last two, I am confused by what you are trying to say. Lets just decide on what equipment you will be using and go from there. It will clear some of that up. Yes it makes more sense to wire the amp to the batt in the back. well im thinking about getting BTLs now instead, so i was thinking 2 12" BTL in (most likely) one of my own boxes. I'll check out that amp, but since u suggested it then ill probably go with it. i havent decided on an alternator yet or a battery, but its all going to be hooked up with the 1/0 wire like suggested so from those how do i hook it up to the battery? You want BTLs but do you have the room for them? You said you have an s-10 ext cab but can you get a 6ft3 enclosure to fit? Thats the optimum size enclosure to build when running rms or under wattage. If so, you will be wanting a different amp. The BTLs are 2k rms each.
  16. Not quite 5 though bud. 40 min less. It is always time for salor jerry. Tattoo artists make good spicy shit!

  18. Ive still got 2 hrs and 20 something minutes for some "lemonade".
  19. That way you wont have to worry about inconsistencies from the two different meters.

  21. Imagine a large surf board with a Sundown Logo, and thats what it will look like. Amazingly enough they are only about 27" long. Thats pretty impressive for over 4k rms!
  22. A smaller port will take up less volume. Really no need for a 5" slot port on one 18" BL. You need at least 5cuft. to build a proper enclosure for that BL. The RE box builder also doesnt account for driver displacement either which is .26cuft. This will change your internal volume as well. Have you thought about extending the port outside the enclosure for maximum volume?
