  1. Nice factory grounds. Thats bull. Ya, I want to start deadening the geo soon. Gotta get some more damplifier light!
  2. Is this one of the 2 used 18" BTLs you were scramblin to pick up in one day? That sucks.
  3. Is it me or has Jack become really cheap lately?

It's True Though, I Hate Maxxsonics. Hell, I've Got An Old Crunch PZI-1000.1 I'll Give Away For Just The Shipping Price If Anyone Wants It, Otherwise I'll Burn It. I know what you mean. My crunch 1500.1 sounded terrible but i traded it in to Jacob! I got rid of a bunch on that program! But how much is shipping to 95678? I have a BXI now and it has been ok. Nothing like the 1500.1 though. It was horrid.
  5. I dont know but I will give you a bump to get some more eyes on it.
  6. At least. He will have to refigure that box totally to get the right tuning and such. Its also more work making two ports.

Ok. So you are lookin at a 2k rms amp, right? If you would like we can help you find an amp but you havent given a budget for it. You said "Budget is for the one that will work the best. That is the clearest and will be able to crank up at times and not have to worry" and that is all.

Thats why I quoted the BTL specs. You never mentioned the BLs. Why would you think its a waste? Just curious. 6.7" compared to 7.2" mounting depth. Thats a tight fit if you are looking to pick up that amount of space. The volume difference is only about .5cuft also.

why to run double the reccommended power to these subs? Its not double. You said two, right? 2k rms each.

    Which is sick!!!

Like I thought, there isnt a budget huh? We really like these kinds of builds. If it was me, I would go all out with a h/o alt, big 3 in 1/0, 4k+ rms amp, several runs of 1/0, etc. How nice are you looking to go?

Im not sure how much of a difference it is. What is your budget for the amp?
  13. So you are the guy that bought up all the X series drivers! lol. You can cancel, Im sure they wont mind.

What kind of Hifonics amp? Btw, plexi is expensive but for some reason I dont think you care about that.
  15. Im really pissed that I couldnt get some of those X series drivers that were on special for $65 a pop. I was going to buy four and the price dropped to $55. So it would have been about $265 for four 12" Fi X series drivers shipped to my door. I spent too much money on BF and by the time I was going to spend some more, they were gone! DAMN!!! I absolutely love my BTL!!!

I cant believe nobody asked but how much room is in that hatch? You will need at the bare minimum 3.5ft3 for two 12" BTLs. More like 6ft3 for an optimum size at rms power. I would also ask the same questions about power upgrades, amps, etc. X2 on the front stage upgrades.
  17. Hes just lookin to contribute guys. You find an area you feel you know and go with it.
  18. If Im reading this correctly, the enclosure youd like to build has the dimensions of 31.5W x 11.5H x 20.5D? If so that would be 3.3cuft to start with. These dimensions will be too small and this is why... The two boards used for the port cant be the same size. One is 18"x10" and the other is 5.5"x10". So the figure of 86.4 cuin each isnt accurate. You are also forgetting about driver and port displacement. That will take up additional internal volume. This enclosures dimensions must be larger. Is that the max size you can go? I wouldnt do bracing for those subs as it will just be extra work that isnt really needed.
  19. I have bought from sonic eletronix and online car stereo many, many times before. They are excellent companies and shipping is super fast.

  21. Now that I go back and look at the later pics I can see a profile of it and the layers are evident. Those first couple of pics with the grain shots threw me off for a second. Looks awesome dude!
  22. Number one has got my vote. It looks artsy. I like it.
  23. This is a really nice build you have going here. Im likin it. Is that 3/4" birch, like Chop asked? Ive always wanted to use it but mdf sheets are expensive enough!
  24. Find a good welder around the nieghborhood or a call a local shop. It shouldnt be too much work to tack it back on. They usually run around $70-100 an hour.
