  1. I finally got this box built and a chance to test this speaker out. It is replacing 2 15" polkmomo drivers on a crunch amp. The box is roughly the same size as the other but this one lets the seat lock into the up position. It is about 3.25 ft3 at 35hz. There is no bracing or 45's in the corners. Its facing up right now as I find a place for the amp(s). But it sounds better forward. I know its a little ghetto but Ive just recently started building my own stuff. As you can see it is hooked up to the SAX125.2. It is bridged at 4 ohm so its only about 450 watts. Gain up halfway and it still rocks. This driver sounds very nice. This driver is of high quality and great sound. Im very pleased that I got this while it is still around. Jacob, you did a helluva job here. Sounds great and still belts out the loudness. I cant believe you will be getting rid of this? The demand should have been higher for these. People will miss out here. I just figured out the video option on the camera Im using so I'll try a video in the near future. I cant wait to see it with more power. The SAE1200D will be its next suitor very soon. http://s694.photobucket.com/albums/vv302/bigrank916/Z15/
  2. Now looking at an email, it says 13 15/16 cutout. Ya he probably will get you the other info cause he gets started early on the east coast. Hes good with the emails.
  3. The displacement is about .125 and the cutout is 14 1/8. Mounting depth about 8 but dont know the outer frame diameter. I got one through the trade in and it will be replacing 2 15 polkmomos. Almost ready for it.
  4. Being that it is a twelve spoke basket I will say that it is the same as all the other woofers that use it and is 14.125". Sweet man. Thanks for the info.
  5. Anybody know the cutout size for the Z? Been looking but cant find it.
  6. Really a cool pic. Nice trophies too. And how the hell did you convince them to let you do that?

Thats exactly what i thought. Ghono-sifa-herp-alitis can be a real bitch this time of year! Stay out of the massage parlors dude! Seriously though, get well man.
  8. That's the safest place. I wish I could overcome my fear of heights. I want to travel so bad, but I will never get on a plane. Funny thing is, if I climb something, I can go however high I want, but riding in an elevator or stairs scares the shit out of me. And rollercoasters. . . . That damn slow ass ride up the hill is gut wrenching for me. Once I hear that final click and lose my stomach though, it's all good. I can't help but think the plane is going to fall right out of the sky. I'm morbid like that. I'm not comfortable until I'm on the ground.
  9. You can find some rappers for that.
  10. In Indiana it might not be. In Cali, its well worth shit.
  11. Im sick of not being able to roll up or down my windows. Its too damn hot.
  12. What's the channel, and what's the show? the 101 network. Trailor Park Boys. Funny as hell.
  13. They will cancel the show if you don't and I will be uber pissed.
  14. I think I'm the only one who watches.
  15. Please help ratings!
  16. Direct tv channel 239 @ 10pm pacific.
  17. If you understand then you should know that when someone posts here, we all tell them what they should do with their system and how we think they should listen to it. Its clearly up to us, not you, what happens to your radio. So...do this and that and you will be fine.
  18. There was another topic on those where shizzon did some research and found those batts not too reliable for long term use. Just recently, like last week I think.
  19. The ONLY time I ever do this is when a Harley pulls up next to me. Having no ac, I NEED the window open. Now I love the sound of a loping muscle car but for some reason when I hear a Harley, I give that "you just stepped into my car with dogshit on your pucking shoe" look. I dont know why but I do. Especially when they need to keep the engine revved so the POS doesnt die at the light on them. Then I have to drown out the NOISE. Yes I call Harleys noise. And that is what they probably call my stereo. So we're even I guess.
  20. In the same cab I prefer facing forward without obstructions. Only found through...testing.
  21. Why dont people want to build their own boxes? I didnt think I could make mine either at one point. Then I asked a local shop to build one for me and they told me the price...Ive been building my boxes ever since. Oh ya. I vote sa-12.
  22. Enjoy your 3 day vacation. This isn't tolerated here. If you want to be an ass do it somewhere else. And ///M5 please tell him what hes won!!! Thats right, you guessed it!!! A 3 day, 2 night stay at the luxurious "wherever the fuck you are" town without the help of the SSA forum!
  23. You definately wont get any help that way man. Just read the guidelines and try to follow them the best you can. Research what you want to know first. The come here and ask the appropriate questions. Dont forget to have a little patience too. That helps the most.
  24. I started this today before I tried to change my window motor assembly and realized it was a dud. Crap. Try that again next week I guess. First time ever applying sound deadener and I should have ordered the wheel with the damplifier lite. Will be buying it soon with more damplifier for my geo as it was a bitch by hand. Took a little while but got part of the inside panel done. It will be a slow project and the other door will be done with the other window motor. Not broken but getting slower these days. Will update periodically. http://s694.photobucket.com/albums/vv302/bigrank916/MLI-65%20project/
  25. Well this system is very basic and the upgrades are coming slowly. The hu is old but it works for now. The 4x6 plates are horrible and the MLI-65's are underway. The Hertz were okay and slammed pretty good especially with the new alt...but the BTL is much nicer. And the alt provides mucho voltage. Those are my first speaker boxes and carpet job ever. Two seperate boxes so it wasnt so heavy and awkward to do by myself. Had to do the round port with simple tuning to 33hz. I made them a touch too big but oh well. Still sounded ok to me. I wanted to cut out the back 4x6 grill on the panel and install some kind of speaker from the deck for cosmetics. The hifonics works for now but i cant wait to see the difference with the 4500d and some batts. Sorry for the photobucket but I cant upload my pics for whatever fucked up reason. http://s694.photobucket.com/albums/vv302/bigrank916/current%20system/
