Cones moves just fine as it did before and there isnt any scratching noises. But that is what my kicker 12L7 does though. Sorry to get off original topic but is it not worth repairing cause I liked that too. Ya Im a sub crackhead. Anything else I could do for the polk/momo to see what the prob is? Im seeing this all the time and wonder how it applies to what someone writes. I know FTW means f the world. So what meaning does it have when I say Sundown Audio ftw!!! When I read it to myself or out loud it just doesnt make sense to me. Im not trying to make fun but I just want to understand. Is it like whatever Im talking about is the shit and f the rest? IDK. So I bought 2 15" polk/momo subs off crutchfield (way before I found this site) and they rock my Geo very well. The other morning on the way to work (my beautiful biweekly commute from Sac to Fresno, Ca on the nasty smelling 99) bumping as usual, I smelled something funny besides the highway and quickly realized it was the subs. I know I had too much power going to them ( Hifonics BXI2006) from the start but used it anyway. So before I could turn it down the subs shut off...then the smoke started coming from the port holes and I thought the box was going to start on fire driving down the road! So today I pulled the speakers out to expecting to find something fried but...nothing. I can smell it no prob but dont see it. I want to send it in for warranty ( which I know will be denied) to hopefully fix it but I want to know what it might be before I do that. Or maybe I can fix it myself...doubt it though. Just really enjoyed these subs for the price (150 for 2 w/ ship & warr) and the sound. They r 400rms with dual 4 ohm vc. So anybody got an idea of what exactly I fried?

Well I just received my SAX-125.2 not too long ago and WOW! This is a very nice amp with sweet sound clarity. I put it to my polkmomo 6x9's and it blows my overrated crunch ( I know, I know) out of the water. I just started getting back into car audio not too long ago and went cheap just to get started. Sundown for life now!!! Then you had to go and have this sale for July and u can bet I will take advantage. Before this month is over I will be ordering an SAX-100.4 and the 50.4 fo sho. Then the 4500d will ship (hopefully) in October...Christmas all year long for me!!! Hopefully during the build I can get some pics going but it be awhile. Thanks for the great service and products. I ordered 1 18" BTL and I will pair it with a SAZ-4500d. Its gonna get LOUD! I say go for the 15.

I have one in my geo but its for cosmetics only. Sometimes I want to know the voltage is good and a cap is an easy way to tell.

I have seen the Focal 165 VR3 set of 6.5s, 4s, tweets and wonder if they are good. I have heard by some that they are overrated. My local shop carries them so I know they will be bias. I can get the whole set for $320 with warr. They can go in a 91 Silverado ext cab powered by a sundown 125.2 and I think they would all fit. I havent cut the holes for the 6.5s in the doors yet but Ive heard its a very common custom install spot in that truck. What do you guys think of Focal?

Ive been thinking about it and I want to upgrade to the 4500d instead of the 3500d. Really, its my final answer. Ha ha. I know I wont be able to run two dual 2 ohm BTL's at .5 ohms but I do have 2 cars so the geo metro will get the dual 2 ohm down the line. Then I can order the other two dual 1 ohm BTL's for my truck and use the 4500d on that. Of course then I will need a powerplant later for the geo and the dual 2 ohm 18 BTL. And you know who I will be contacting for that dont you? Ha ha. Thanks for the great CS and keep it up.

Well I do love my warranties so I will upgrade to the 3500d. I wish this presale was a little sooner on the 4500d then I could have ordered my BTL with a dual 1 instead of 2. Then I could have gotten two dual 1 ohm BTL's Oh well, its still going to be a great setup. Thank you for the great customer service. Wish more companies followed your lead.

I know the 4500d is only a presale right now. Im not worried about getting it right away and the price is insane. Im ready to hurry up and wait! Ha Ha! Just trying to figure out which amp I need while these prices are so nice.

Damn!! Now that was fast! If you can send me a paypal request (hoping I can complete it) for the price difference that would be awesome. So I will be upgrading to either the 3500d or the 4500d. Can I wire two dual 2 ohm BTL's to a .5 ohm load and not void the warranty for the 4500d? If so I think I will order another BTL to make that happen. If not then I think I will stay with one BTL and get the 3500d. So either way I want to upgrade my order. Thank you very much for such a fast response. Well I have already purchased an 18" FI BTL fully loaded with daily option (dual 2 ohm) and a SAZ-2000d on pre-order. Now I want to upgrade to the SAZ-3500d and have some headroom. I sent info explaining what I wanted to do and Aaron sent me an email saying the easiest way to pay the difference was to paypal it to [email protected]. Well Im not too familiar with paypal so I didnt know quite how to do that. Now I see that the SAZ-4500d is on pre-order with paypal through [email protected] but not on the SSA site yet. So with only a $150 difference between the 3500d and the 4500d, I thought why not get the 4500d? So a few of my questions are: How do I upgrade from the 2000d on the SSA site to the 4500d through sundown? Is the 4500d going to be on the SSA site soon for the same price as sundown? Can I even wire multiple subs like the one I purchased to achieve a 1 ohm load for the 4500d? How do I paypal someone through an email addy? Sorry for the long post and so many Q's but I just want to get this stuff ordered before the pre-order ends cause its such a good deal.

Now Im thinking of upgrading to the saz3500d on presale. I know bigjon said to look at the topic to see when the presale ends but couldnt find what he meant. Does anyone know where to find this info? It is only $385 extra on top of the saz2000d so it sounds like a good value. Plus its a monster amp and Ill have a lot of headroom. Maybe enough for another BTL down the line.

Well last night I bought the saz 2000d on presale and I feel really good about that purchase. I couldnt find the 3000d but I read some other posts and saw that it was sold out or something. It isnt even on the ssa site to buy. I guess its time now to get the specs to my guy at the local shop and see what he can quote me for a box. Thanks for all the info guys.

I just saw the saz2000d is cheaper than the 1500. Is that cause of the preorder sale? Why would they do that and how much time do I have before the price goes up?

Also what companies do u recommend for h/o alternators? I guess another batt would be in order with the saz3000d. Should I go with a kinetic or something like powermasters?
