Well, I need more bass and was wondering if anyone has tried the "home wrecker" box... Not sure what sub I will be using, probably a cheaper on though, 15" most likely... something like kicker, alpine, Volfenhag, R.F. etc.... I figure no need getting anything too nice because most plate amps i see are only a couple hundred watts so... I am using some Aroura "Bass Shakers" and i frikkin love them but of course there is no real bass from them and my sub that came with the surround sound system just lacks... Any suggestions?, hopefuly "on the cheap"

Yeah, that is even uglier than the last version... NOW... get the front clip of the '05-'09 on the '99-'04 and i would buy one in a second! The fronts of the '99-'04 really do remind me a lot of teh old mustangs

only thing i have really liked since the early 70's is the fox body (87-93) and the 99-04's

upwards of 140MPH on teh streets... 160mph+ at the track... close to 200mph on the Busa (got rid of that quickly!)

I am sure he meant $4.25/ft of course with this guy, he just might not know it yet Don't expect much of a difference... I did the "big three" with 2/0 and have 4/0 running to my battery bankl which is all connected with 2/0 and has 2/0 going to the amp... didn't notice much, added a 300A O.G. alt. and a pair of BatCap 2k's and i still have a lot of dimming... Of course I am running about 4kw RMS so.... anyways, 4ga is a little on the small side IMO, go big or go home

Agreed. They are for people who like to have their trunk open A LOT just to show off their pretty fiberglass box. Built one in my buddies '04 Monte Carlo. Pair of 12" CVR's and if you where outside the car with the trunk open it sounded good, inside the car with the trunk closed it had teh bass of the factory Bose system with the rattles of a childs play toy... Took it out, sold it and built a real box and he wa MUCH happier

nice.... but i still hate R.F. best RF setup i have ever heard was 4 8"'s in a bandpass of some sort. Don't remember a lot about it as it was like 8 years ago but they shook that place to the ground

Must be a truck owner thing... You would be amazed at some of the installs that would come into my old shop. I have seen stuff duct taped, zip tied, fishing lined, yarn, wire, and just randomly floating about the cabin... Pretty nasty stuff

my ETC has an electric trunk release with one of those "slow pull down" motor deals. It popped a few time with the HDC315/XXX-6500D Also snapped my rear view mirror off and proceeded to spider the living hell out of the chipped windshield to the point it HAD to be replaced... All in all my $500~ sub/amp combo cost me about $900 in car repairs...

tell you what.... start throwing me some donations and I'll do it! Hell, I would get a school bus and pack it FULL of subs/amps/batteries etc... if i had the money

Also if i decided to go with a wall, I assume that would change it so what class would a wall put me in? It is going to be a single 15" either way... amp running at 1ohm

Yeah, Hoping there might be some people with a lot of knowledge rather than people with a lot of "second hand knowledge". Seems to be a lot of "i seen this" or " someone told me" and stuff like that. Also hoping some people on here might not be broke so I can sell my RE XXX 15" D2 and get back to my SPL mistress
