  1. ya that is the knu in white right? that stuff is SUPER thick and hard to work with, the other stuff though the mroe expensive stuff is SO Much easier to use! i am refering to the Kolossus Fleks Kable the knu white stuff the cheaper stuff is a pain to work with i find! also if you notice in the second pic how easy the black wire bent compared to the white wire! yes i've heard that the pearl white stuff is harder to use. i was using the pic as an comparison to other cable. the kolossus flex is the cable to go with
  2. difference between stinger and knukonceptz 4 gauge. I've compare kicker to stinger before and so has the people at knuconceptz. this is from their website stinger on the left, knu on the right just picture what the difference is in 1/0
  3. nice horns. betcha its loud as hell
  4. This is my Theory of what happens. subs have a Fs which is the the free air resonant frequency of the speaker. if a sub has a Fs of 35 hz and you tune your box to 35 hz. the speaker will resonant at that frequency. tuning a box to far below that like 28hz, 25hz or something like that, I might not have the right kind of pressure to keep the speaker from hitting it's Xmech, which is the max mechanical excursion of the speaker. that's why you might hear stories of people say there 1500watt sub blew out on 900watts of power. because the speaker bottomed out and reach it's Xmech because of tuning below Fs. The only issue is......why is tuning below Fs bad? In other words, why are frequencies below Fs bad but frequencies above it aren't? Your car has a resonating frequency, does it fall apart if you play a note below it? If tuning below Fs is bad, what are we to do with the Sundown Nightshade, which has an Fs of 43 hz? The 12" FI BTL also has an Fs of 39 hz. Also, how about all of those home theater subwoofer enclosures that are tuned way low, like 12-15 hz? Those are definitely below 99% of all subs' Fs. My point is that there isn't anything wrong with tuning below Fs. The problem with running into mechanical limits can occur at any frequency with the right amount of power. Even above tuning frequency and Fs. your totally right with the right power, you can go all day tuning below Fs. I have some MTX subs i'm using for home theatre and play as low as 15 hz or lower tones sometimes in movies. with no problem. but you have to get the power right.
  5. that's some major bass in there. LOL
  6. hahaha, funny
  7. nice job man. up that score next year. LOL
  8. awww man. I can't tell you how right you are on that.If I talk about a sundown to someone they look like their dazed and confused. like what is that but back to the topic. those 8's are rediculous

  15. I believe the hybrid tohoe actually gets alot of its charge from the wheel. the wheels and brake system have a "generator" on them and they charge the batteries also when you are driving. pretty interesting
  16. humm anyone know where i can get them rubber things? But some of the holes are realy big. so i need somthing to work. Should i put rubber pipe tubing around them at the holes? I would try to get some wire loom and black tape it all around. that may help with protection. the factory does the same thing with under the hood wiring.
  17. kinda, theres rubber calking around the holes all the cable is exposed to the elements. kinda dangerous if consider, rain, puddles, road hazzards, etc. are u talking about the runs being under my truck? Alot of people do it. I have 8 runs from front to back. No way its going to fit under my carpet I said the same thing. to each is own.
  18. my two cents. Lanzar is flea market brand. there is a reason they are sold so cheaply at flea markets. its because they are made cheaply. you get what you pay for.
  19. SO MANY SMILIES. SMILEY OVERLOAD. AHHHHH

YOU GUYS HAVE TO SEE THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY. there is a channel on youtube that is dedicated to stop people from having systems in their cars. there is this congressman who's work is dedicated to stop the "boom cars" http://www.youtube.com/user/noboomcars There is videos galore in there from alot of different cities about their noise laws and news reports about them and everything. I spent hours watching these videos one night and I was baffled.
