there is a school here in houston, tx called the acoustic edge. all they do is car audio, fabrication, upolstry, fiberglass training, home theatre, and home alarms. www.acousticedge.com
  2. loving it. sixth order bandpass and 2 15's on 2000watts. yes and you got that much pressure. impressive
  3. not sure if this is true or not, but doesn't working out at that early age stunt your growth?
  4. kinda, theres rubber calking around the holes all the cable is exposed to the elements. kinda dangerous if consider, rain, puddles, road hazzards, etc.
  5. Are you running wire under the car through the wheel well with no protection? If so, I wouldn't think that is a good idea. my two cents
  6. ready to see some vids
  7. He probably was talking about whatever song your were jamming too, but it seems to me like you started braging (like he look how loud it can go, watch out for stunts like those it could leave you systemless one day). so true. most of the time the ones that get you are ones that know your vehicle from around the way or people that actually know you. kinda messed up
  8. I'm going to wall a pickup truck when i get one in the future. not sure what kind of setup though
  9. hahahahaha lol
  10. Now as far as road rage, I pulled up to the light barely beating since I had my window down and the car next to me was beating his system as loud as he could and thought he was the shit. So I turn my system up and killed his shit, so he wanted to get mad and follow me like he wanted to do something but did nothing. I proceeded to turn into a gas station like whats up since you wanna follow me like a stalking bitch but he just keep driving, so then I speed up next to him again and gave him a taste of his own medicine. Why do lame as people do stuff like that, pull up to you playing their system at full tilt like it's better than everyone else but when you blow them away they wanna get mad (lames i guess). x2. I do that when people think that got a badass system. never had anyone really get mad, more embarrased or they envy me for blowing them away.LOL
  11. not much trouble in the car audio world. pretty considerate in neighborhoods. going down the street is a different story. numerous times I have been given the WTF face. LOL I'm a DJ and I can't tell you how many times I have had the cops called on the parties that I throw. no matter if it's a house party or a private party in halls and parking lots. I remember one time I did a gig in a school parkiing lot and the surrounding business all called the school to tell us to turn it down it's disturbing them inside the building a good 1500 feet away. pretty loud
  12. I kinda agree. The cop would have the burden of proving if it was you that was playing loud music. If you act "stupid" like you don't have a system in the trunk. I guess you could get away with it. Can't say the same thing with a wall.
  13. gotta get me some of these
  14. yea. we had a topic just like this not to long ago and it did not turn kinda bad. anyways, my two cents. don't waste your money on a 40 farad cap when you can spend the same money on a good dry cell battery that would be at least 100time better
  15. Yes L5.. my temporary system until I get my box finished and the amp ordered. I have to check that stuff out tomorrow, since it was a little dark when I was doing all this stuff, and my garage is full things for my 12 cu ft. box. Ya know you never get anything done when the weather doesn't like you.. o that happens all to often up here in canada lol normally we got snow and then the polar bears come around and wnat to play lmoa! jk! Well I guess Ive hit a Black Bear on the highway doing 70 up in Minnesota, just north of Minneapolis... oh dont worry, I went back the next day to take pictures, Ive got some pics if you want to see that too Jaw was ripped off.... And keep in mind I hit it with a small Honda Accord... wow
  16. Bout time you did an update. LOL j/k great job. keep it up
  17. Its easier to hide than a BIG ASS WALL in your car, which everyone can see and if you get pulled over there is no way in hiding a big ass wall full of woofers if it were illegal (use common sense, I know people do shit that is illegal all the time including me).

I saw this episode of MYTHBUSTERS where they were doing a special on SPL EXTEME vehicles. they made a huge sub out of some metal or something. anyways, they put it in a car and they did a 161.3 at 16hz
  21. can i fix it?? or do i have to get it repaired?? It's internal. if it's under warranty, send it in. if not, do whats more economic for you, replace it or fix it.
  22. Sounds like the amp is bad. had the same thing happen to one of my customers JL amp. kept blowing fuses when the car was turned on. replaced the amp and everything was fine.
  23. 29oz fiberglass mat. heavy thick stuff. few layers of this stuff along with the right bracing will make it solid
