  1. Not sure who told you they don't like over 3v... but the limit is 6v. There are issues with fancy RCA cable connectors, though, many times they don't make good contact. Cheaper cables don't have this problem. do u consider the knukonceptz krystal cables fancy? ... i just bought them and i am buying some sundown amps I have seen those work for people... anything with high tech looking ends on the cable has the potential to be an issue, but not always. wish i knew the krystal kables could be a problem before i bought them.. as well as my KLM POWER AND GROUND WIRE for my 2000d. they say it handles up to 250a. 2000d require a 200a fuse right? so will i be ok with the KLM or not? just get 1/0 and ur all set
  2. because the alternator is never going to be able to support u when u r sitting still ... u r going to have to rev ur engine at a light and while coasting down a hill ... its a pain in the ass believe me ... i have a h/o alt and a single battery for the time being ... its terrible and will cause more strain on ur alternator
  3. also for what you have there is no reason to get a different one ... a 135 amp is plenty big
  4. So you would recommend a battery & battery isolator over just a new alternator? Why would I need a extra battery anyways. I thought it would be easier to just use the yellow top up front and a h/o alternator. And this is just a daily system... no comps at all idk wtf sadistc is talking about ... u dont need 2 alternators ... you should be fine with just a second battery (preferably one that shawn suggested) ... you need a second battery because at idle your alt will not produce enough current to ur amp ... if u get a second battery it will support ur amp for a longer period of time and ur voltage will not drop as much Then why not just get a bigger alternator. I thought i read it a million times that would be best in the long run over a battery because i a battery cant produce power? I dont want to put strain on my alternator if I dont need to. & i didnt pay the dual alternator for 2000 watts MAX idea any mind. Lol usually the bigger the alternator the less output they produce at idle ... it will also cost more money ... an extra battery will also stabalize ur voltage more ... according to iraggi you shouldnt use an isolator at all ... "for every reason to get an isolator there is 10 bad ones"
  5. alright thanks

  7. which one would you do then if it were up to you jake? i have 4 subwoofers so would it be better to power each one separately?
  8. i can get 4 of the 1500s for 100 cheaper if i wait ... my question is will they put out around the same power if i were to get 2 of the 3500s
  9. wouldnt 4 of the 1500s be a good choice? ... i heard they are incredibly underrated ... would they put out more than 2 of the saz-3500d strapped?
  10. if i were to wait until u received 4 2000s would u be able to give them to me for that price?
  11. so would 2 runs of 1/0 be enough ... i am going refurbrished n e way ... do you think u would be able to get me 4 2000s refurbed at 375 each? just buy you a SAZ-4500D and call it a day. why when i can get more output for the same price and i wouldnt have to wait until end of october
  12. stick with the alpine

Cheaper cables don't have this problem. do u consider the knukonceptz krystal cables fancy? ... i just bought them and i am buying some sundown amps obviously ... the problem is not the wire it is the connector ... it does not get a good connection to the inputs I have seen those work for people... anything with high tech looking ends on the cable has the potential to be an issue, but not always. ya. i dont think it is necessarally a problem with just sundown amps ... i know my kicker and jbl amps were having problem with my 120 dollar 4 channel and 2 channel tsunami cables You do realize that wire is wire right? obviously but the problem is not the wire it is the connector
  14. so would 2 runs of 1/0 be enough ... i am going refurbrished n e way ... do you think u would be able to get me 4 2000s refurbed at 375 each?
  15. well u said that 1/2 is a bad idea so im not gonna run that ... i didnt plan on spending more than 1500 on amps so i think 4 saz-2000s is out of the ? lol ... unless you can work out some type of deal with me

  17. alright so if i were to put 4 xcon 18s in my suv which of the 2 would you pick to power them? ... what do you recommend my aH rating look like ... will 2 runs of 1/0 be plenty to the battery bank?
  18. i see ... so it would not be a good idea to run these amps at .5 ohm then because the resistance could also go lower than that ... so i should either go 2 saz-3500 at 1 ohm or keep the saz-3000 at 1 ohm each ... i read on your website that the saz3500 is only doing 6kw strapped ... is this correct or is there a typographical error ... also what do you recommend for wire and batteries jake?
  19. so i was thinking of 2 saz-3000d as well as the 100.4... this is for daily ... if i have it strapped for 1 ohm (each amp at .5 ohm) and i tune it with an oscilloscope is this still a bad idea? ... wouldnt the nominal resisitance rise up to over 1 ohm anyway so it would be safe? ... what do you recommend as far as total aH (jake i forgot what you said lol) and how many strands of 1/0 will suffice to the rear (approx 15 ft from front to back battery bank)?
  20. i would love to know who said a lower voltage is better ... a higher voltage allows ur amp to run more efficient meaning u can turn down the gains =)

  22. what are u expecting me to hit once 4 18s go in w 8000 watts ... u know were making my suv a 2 seater now dont u lol
  23. i dont think the sundowns are regulated ... that is why most people run them at a higher voltage to get more wattage out of them ... interesting that output remained the same
