Your first system...
i think it was the old pyle driver 15", mounted in a cardboard box, wrapped up with two rolls of duct tape. had a two channel mtx amp hooked up through the lighter and the box set on the pasenger floor board , unless someone was in it, then on the tranny hump. every thing else was factory and used lamp cords for wiring...... it wasn't till about four years after that did i start a new set-up, right before i graduated high school. seemed like it was top notch to a couple of jr high school kids though. lol, thanks for the memories. chop

Aero port help
i could not link back to it from my link or the one under fabrication, where i got it from i find that within useing slot ports, i can get alot closer to the port area that i need / desire , than with the aero ports. the velocity is 56% less, okay! thanks

Aero port help
so, i found this one too, and after playing around with the numbers a while, i seen that the 56% came up again, hmmm, might be on to something here. these guys get a little deeper with it, but, in short, i think i got it. lots of info though, hope it helps. chop

Help me with my electrical systm please!!
i have seen times were this similar problem was cured by adding additional grounds throughout. adding multiple, good, solid grounds will not hurt and almost always proves to help out. rechecking each connection, positives ans grounds is also a good starting point. sometimes things tend to loosen up some. i like the idea of having the same gauge wire through out the build. the 4 gauge seems like it would be one thing to bump up in size. do a good, complete walk through of it, check all things mentioned in op, and let us know. chop

Aero port help
seen this link on one of our other threads.... i would like to write down the basic formula mentioned in it for the aero ports. referring to the port area equivalent of a slot port. if i said that right. it mentions that you can be safe with 56% of what a slot port needs for the area with an aero port. is this a good rule of thumb to keep in mind? aero port guide

J-Roadtatts Honda Accord Build
i am the wrong fellar to be brutal, lol, not much more than a noob. i have , like i said, read several times over of the resonance of the box being changed when glass is added. something to do with how the wave reacts to it. sorry, i am hoping that someone will pitch in here, i would like to hear what a pro has to say. i will search around a little and see what i find. the big , strong box part, i will be attempting to put alot more time and patiance into the next one i build. i could not believe mine had so much flex to it. i really did think it would of been strong enough. seen you were looking at aero ports for the next one, they are sweet looking! chop

Aero port help
It's under build logs so I all ready have a thread started. And yes I already have the drivers wood amps batts and car. Just needed a refresh on my math for now that's all. what ride are you putting the DP's in? i guess i was so interested in seeing the IA subs that i missed the math error, sorry. these guys walked me through a build for two 12" IA 187"s, we used three 4" aeroports , it came out sweet. good luck on the build, hope to see lot's of pics soon. was not attempting to pick at you too much, just these are big time subs and usually the guys that are useing them are on top of the design stuff. trust me, i am tuned in, i like the look of the aeros and the ease of retuning if needed. chop

Mdizzle's build log
well you and i are at spectator level at best for carl casper at this rate. but that slamology will be about right. i remember the last one like it was yesterday. your overly excited ass handing SSA flyers to every single person there....lol. representing!!! last years theme was "Dam, only one sub!" , i am afraid this years theme will be, "That shit is too loud!" lmao

J-Roadtatts Honda Accord Build
i have read multiple opinions about the glass on the inside of the box, regarding to how it might affect the sound. do you have any words of wisdom on it? in short i see spl guys likeing it more than sq, saying that to mention, obviously, you are after sq. the creative approach on the port, the glass work, the goals in mind, and fab work on the trunk leads one to believe this is going to be a sweet build log to the end. what deadening will you be doing again and how much of it? looking good, chop
- Oh Yea!

Dbl Bellys S10 Build.
no diffuculty, just what we been doing, looking at alot of options, zeroing in on what will work best over all. i would say no, add a couple of fans for a piece of mind..... easy enough......perhaps even a little noen under there too. basicly you would have two vertical ports firing up, one on each side. port area stays the same, just the length would be divided in half... not really competing, so you are not worried about pressurizing where the mic would be located. main thing i would think this would add is strength to the center of the box. i mean you have to dig out all the tricks to put a 18" btl in the rear of a s-dime and stay at the window line as well! some folks use 2/3rds of the rear of a full size suv for the same sub. lol, but 6+ cubes would be good.

Re-doing the Caddy
seems like i miss all your threads. nice history lesson though. you won't be wearing them silly ass shorts any time soon, lol the shag was wild too

end correction
you will begin to find some do and some don't. not sure, with out reading if cs's calc. does or not. it is cool to use the calculators, but the pencil and paper way is sorta cool too. it looks like you are a wizard at numbers after a few months of boxes build up in your note book.

end correction
oh, no, i know that bro..... i agree with the direction you was heading 100%. thanks chop
