  1. Chicagfan > < DD9915D!!! this is FTW Mike!!!
  2. nice vids......... the flex is crazy.......
  3. have you thought about spliting the port into two ports... the vertical port walls would help brace the front wall for the sub.... and yeah, i lost my mind for a sec when i was trying to double the top baffle, oops....lol i have not looked at the re page to see what these specs give you for your net volume yet, is it at least a little over 5 cubes? sorry it is my night to cook ( burn) dinner, lol chop
  4. i will be upgradeing to an wmd2 18" very soon! bear will be useing a wmd 10" find a home for the 15" in IAK, that would be cool lol
  5. would true aeros be considered in the future? i had a post similar to the one with the wire speghetti a long time ago, the fellars use to tease me if i cleaned it up i would gain at least a full db. , lol sooooo, you ran it for a year, went to comps in it, joining up here to share and establish future goals, you go boy! you already know that it is not parrell to the norm, but you are still enjoying it and still learning, that makes the most fun of this hobby. good luck with the future goals. chop
  6. man i would not think so, i tried that crap with my box...... small steps in freq. don't really seem to be audible with mine. i was not being anal or picking at the feelar, please understand that... just have not came across this senario and wanted to ensure i was in the right to assume that it would still apply. so, yeah i agree, not much differance here, but i was just chaseing the math of it basicly. thanks chop
  7. WMD212"D2 FS-40hz VAS-.83cft MMS-236g QTS-.52 QMS-5.1 QES-.57 Re-4 ohms BL-20 SPL1w1m-86db 55lbs. triple stack motor 1500 rms. edited the specs for you steve, they now reflect the custom recone.
  8. well, looks like rattlebox317 will be running a wmd2 12" this spring. tuned @ 32 hz. little over 42"sq.in. of port area. 4.5 cubes gross, with a internal volume of 2.53 cubes net. double baffle, .75 mdf . will be rear firing in a 2000 olds alero trunk. dd setup, rap / hip hop. still playing with a couple of amp options. will zero in on that real soon.
  9. wow, i walked away too soon, this thread took off! i use the math and thought process displayed in the jl link. i just was not sure if i was in the wrong since the port does not truly end along a port wall ( like exterior wall) . i am pretty comfortable saying that the end correction factor would indeed be applied here. but once again, i am at a noob level, so i wanted to double check myself. thanks for all the input though, and the link will definetly help others out. chop
  10. why is this under build logs? have you already purchased these dp's? i believe i stand at number 11 if i monitored the count correctly.
  11. we gotta fire the sub forward. thats a given, we need max width for air space. we gotta have max heigth too. i used 24.25 so that you have the double baffle. can you mount the amp under the passenger seat? max security this way, remove seat to remove amp. you will have to yank the seats any way to play sub box tetris. i can get right at 6.5 cubes but does not count for displacement for sub yet. 90 sq. in. of port area. so 15 sq. in. per cube. tuned at 32.6hz. oh, and i added .5 to your depth.
  12. FAIL!!!! so, like i just typed all this shit and the pc like went out for a sec.... dammit
  13. i read in here somewhere you saying that the sub was going to be centered in the box? firing into the center console area?
  14. right on, 25 is wonderfull!!! now you are showing love
  15. is 22" right at the window line? could you creep up there a little? i am starving here, throw me a bone bro, lol
  16. yeah see what you can squeeze in there.... numbers don't lie.... we gotta get you more space from somewhere. you don't want a skimpy box for that beast.
  17. the 20" high, where does that put the top of the box? will you be in any comps? is 41 wide as tight as you can go?
  18. you gotta give us some more space. them panels will come out easy enough without tearing them to shit. and they are easy to replace from the junkyard if you do.
  19. whoa, wait a minute, it is a 18" isn't it?
  20. the numbers you have posted would reflect the 41 x 16 x 20 that you are after..... the port length and width you listed would tune you at 32.77hz. and give you a volume of 4.8 cubes..... i do not know how much air space you need yet, i gotta look that up, or you can tell me.
  21. i will look in two secs, my mouse is on fire hear, lol..... i have five windows open, plus texting chicago fan and rattlebox....
  22. np, i can help with the basics..... first off, do you have access to re's box designer.... RE Enclosure Calculator have you used it or use it currently?
