  3. i was looking at it, just jumped off to another site for a sec.... i like the idea of a low ass import.... i hope you have a opportunity to take a little better pics of it.... the enclosure and subs are FTW. 700 watts and tearing sh*t up...FTW Baby on board, just got that sign for our minivan, for our grandson....lol hope to see better pics soon bud, chop
  4. the info in your sig says 4 8"s and a 1000d..... the box is for 4 12"s............. off the same amp? what subs? if one is to assume you are upgradeing your amp / sub combo, the assumtion would have to follow that if braceing is a issue to you, it is a more powerfull set-up, so the braceing to prevent flexing.....one is to assume.... so in the drafted pic it shows one single baffle...... sorta thin for 4 12"s needing internal braceing the sides being how they are portrayed in the pic should be rather strong at 18"s tall. it will help out if you specify all of the equipment you will be installing pertaining to you sub stage.... what are your goals music wise.... i dont see any port, is this 4 12"s sealed..... i sorta see something on top of the box in the middle at the front face.....is that a port? if it is ported, your port very well could add some braceing... looking forward to your updated post..... chop
  5. i am strongly leaning toward the inverted mounting option...... i had my 4 12"s inverted and noticed no ill effects yeah our weather here in Indy is a little "salty" at times...... the flex in your vids and the look of your subs in the rear = FTW thanks for your input, Chop
  6. well i have played with acouple of Sundowns, and none of the RFs.............. I own a Sundown, so does three of the guys in our sound club...... Sundown is on this forum....... i am going to vote Sundown! chop
  7. uh o............... sir imho, while the said poking action does work very well. please consider that the holiday is upon us. keeping nmssd12 in mind, scarring is a very optimal alternetive. with todays youtube generation loving pranks so much, get you a well thought out camera angle setup and record the whole thing! with a little bit of good timming and the right mask / costume combonation...... i gaurantee they will wake right up !!! and image the fun of showing all the other amps thier video, lol okay, i am done being a prick now, had to cover for Godsmack also ....... yeah blue wire = remote.... daisy chain is fine......< means screw the wire in, at the "remote" wire location, on amp 'A' and then with second wire coming from this point, wire it into amp 'B' at the same "remote" wire location. use your RCA wire to connect the head unit to the amp, this is your signal wire..... "sub out" connects via the RCA's to the "signal in" location on your amp....... we all are having fun with your choice of words but also recognize your still "green" to car audio, if you have more questions please ask..... i do everyday. Chop
  8. really wanting to install my sub inverted, catching some mixed reviews, what is your input. motor noise? less out put? any issue you have with it? hey also, what year jeep is that? ours looked quite a bit the same, when i was selling it i caught some bad comments about the fllor boards, folks saying that they were bad, so i got up under there to see wtf they were talking about...... they were lyers, bold face lies i tell you, them floor boards wernt bad, they were gone! i aint sure if that is a "jeep thing" or not, just a heads up at you though. ol' rusty huh, i got a feeling he will be takeing alot of IAK's money next year, lol. looking good, chop oh, what alt is that again, might ask for a qoute for the ol' Dakota.....even if it will be next spring..

  15. so, if we shorten the port length up then the rest is alright, correct? thank chop
  16. well i guess no one is building it, i can't seem to get it right yet........ i will pm shizzzon and ask him to get me back in line...... and then go from there.
  17. you just keep drawing new ones, i will get this one built just in time to build another, lol chop < random ass turkey
  18. sig says tunning is 31hz. , is this a seond box you have now? if so how is it currently fashioned in the vehicle? like port and sub placement? if you want louder, lower, as you said, tuning lower will miss the louder part, if i understand it all correctly. if you are into throwing one together for kicks, hoping to get a little louder, perhaps look into a little higher tunning ..... that q should handle your lows pretty well on chopped and screwed tracks , assuming your amp and head unit is set accordingly. just my .02 , just surfing around and thought i would throw you a comment, good luck, chop
  19. I think I got my first box design down, hope to have you guys double check it all for me....... tunning will be at 35 hz. port area is 62 sqaure inches box volume is 4.29 ( havn't figured out what the 45's and braceing will displace) I just used 4 cubes for all my math. useing 3/4" mdf and will use double baffle. port opening will measure 15.5" W X 4" H , useing the bottom of the enclosure as the bottom of the port, ported to the side. port length will be 27.5" long the port will fire toward a vertical mdf wall on the drivers side. sub will fire up, and i will plan on having it inverted, for now. it will work out that the sub will be almost centered in the vehicle. keeping in mind this is not a comp build so the pressure i would put on the mic is not factored in. the sub will be the furthest away from the internal port opening. 43.5" W X 17"D X 16"H i think that is all the info needed, planning on useing the 1 5/8" coarse drywall screws, predrilling and countersinking all holes/ useing wood glue and clamps, gotta look up prefered name brand of glue still. will either caulk with normal caulk or look into useing more of the same used on first box, high velocity duct sealant < this sh*t is tuff stuff now! planning on useing internal braceing and 45's, leaning toward 2" X 4" 's for braceing material due to cost, even though i like the look of the all thread better. will round over all angles and sand box down, the finish will start out naked due to low funds, slowly becoming all black. everything will be blacked out in the rear, it will either be black or chrome.....with white strobes, (slow) well looking for any and all input as usuall, so let me know what you think newbies, and gurus please check my math! thanks guys, chop equipment is in sig!
  20. tell us your thoughts on the amp rack, is the plexi going to have vent holes? are there going to be fans in there? how will the lights be presented? i personally like the look of the lights under the amp, sorta a underglow to it. is this amp rack going to be horizontal or vertical? oh, and thanks for fixing the link to the specs, lol, Finnish< lol at ol' chop speaking that!
  21. hey guys, who we trying to f*ck up here? are we just trashing the fueling system? i have a feeling we could get real creative if it is the whole vehicle...... mixed combo of gas, water, and high proof alclohol in diesel......nasty little combo there brake fluid and a super soaker water gun will create a ugly little paint issue........ t-iron , nicely fashioned into tire spikes tend to create a finacial delima....... get a hold of the similar chemical used to disable "clunkers" , that should do some damage...... oh sh*t, wait a minute, did we say we was tearing up a car completly yet? might of got carried away there. chop
