  1. lookin badass.
  2. man u guys seem to know your shit. would somebody that is willing to help me out with dropping some weight pm me? thanx.
  3. focus hatchbacks rock, and u can get them cheap. if u decide on a focus, get a zx3 2 door, hatchback 2003 or newer...they have the best factory sound deadener. i have my nightshade in mine, and nothing rattles except the license plate.
  4. fuckin sweet! that song bangs on just about everybodys system...its loud as shit in my car lol.
  5. i would go in and talk personally with who is going to be doing it...like the specific person. make sure they are going to do exactly what u want them to do. Have them show you pics of their work. just go with your gut after u meet them.
  6. try running 0 gauge to the back and then 4 or 0 from the distribution block. add another battery in the back or get a high output alternator.
  7. he doesnt bad mouth people, he just has a strong opinion
  8. yea but ur not supposed to bad mouth people, when what they are talking about has nothing to do with you.
  9. I have ears. Not sure where yours are. You are a quite helpful person but you are also the most miserable person here aswell. Jeez....Maybe if you spent as much time trying to get some (which Id bet its been years) as you do degrading people.... Oh btw, tampons are on sale at walmart. uncalled for bro, let them duke it out, its really none of your buisness.
  10. guess im not selling my hifonics just yet...this would look great hooked up to 2 nightshades!
  11. yes that amp will work great. it is a great amp all around. will last u forever
  12. i've always wondered why certain subs couldn't be sealed, i would guess it wouldn't get any airflow so it would just get too warm. could be wrong, probably am, but that is my guess.
  13. probably safer at 2 ohms on 2 1500s...plus it voids the warrenty to drop down to .5 ohms on those sundown amps, and its tougher on ur electrical system.
  14. thats crazy for less than 1500 watts
  15. thats a good lookin ass on that sub bro.
  16. how much is he wanting?
  17. build a new box fa bit bigger and tune a bit lower...try tuning to 30 or so. just make sure u pay attention to ur subs bc a bigger box means u need to use less power.
  18. what kinda music do u listen to?
  19. yup, its best to do alot of reading before you buy, that way u dont go wasting money on something u dont want. good luck.
  20. y dont u look at some other subs? like ssa, sundown, ascendant audio, dc, there is alot of different brands...ik the ssa subs get pretty loud sealed. u could do a 10" icon. just take a look at the ssa store, lots of subs in there that might suit u better.
  21. Will do. I'm thinking about making some sort of frame around it and then bolt it to my car, but I'll check around to see what other people have done as well. My questions was actually how big difference it is between sealed and vented if you want to subs to hit hard at low frequencies. Because if a sealed enclosure could make the subs hit hard at 25-30hz, I would of course built it then a vented one. Cause I'm not looking to have a lot of sound pressure, my goal is a good sounding system with the ability to hit hard at low frequencies. Since I'm gonna use a 3200W rms amplifier I'll get some sound pressure either way. So I wasn't having that as a primary goal. I started this topic becuase I was afraid that if I made a sealed enclosure that it wouldn't play well on low frequencies. u should probably keep ur gains down, especially if going 10 cubes per sub...1600 watts is 600 more watts than what the subs are rated for...ur just asking to blow them to peices in that big of a box.
  22. the bl is more get loud no matter what, while the q just sounds good and still can get loud.
  23. make the port width 2.5" and the second length 3" and then build the box exactly how it looks. then just instead of cutting the hole for the sub on the same side as the port, cut it on the top.
  24. i had mine ported tuned to like 28 hz or so...and the lower you tune the more u lack in the higher frequencies...but if u like low music i would tune around 28 hz.
