  1. Can't wait until tonight! Hopefully I'll have a 12" Fi Q on my doorstep! We'll see!
  2. Dual 2 Ohm, At least 500-1000w, should get loud. Once you upgrade electrical, that shoud help.
  3. I had trouble with my RCA's, so I called local shop [Custom Car Stereo], and they installed them right since it was a simple mistake on my part. I've made the guys @ the shop a few old school and bass cd's to demo. Real cool dudes. I've hung out at the shop just talking audio and chillin'. It's all about the people who work there. If they're cool, then I'm cool.
  4. I didn't take any pics/videeos. Been raining all day here. I only have a 2-channel amp and I have my subs running on it. Just wanted to test it out and see how it compares to running it off the HU. I'll take pics/videos when I upgrade my system. 2-10" Fi SSD or 1-12" Fi Q +1200D Audioque + Mids/Highs [4-Channel]
  5. I hooked my Pioneer and Kenwood 6.5's to my amp. They were screaming, mids and highs were loud and clear. Couldn't turn it up because they don't hold a lot of power, but I could hear the difference between power from HU and Amp. Next setup I'm going all out. 4 channel amps + mono amp. Thanks for the help.
  6. I'm in Columbia. I might be down in Florence, Thursday or Friday.
  7. all great brands, you cant go wrong with any of them I have a friend who's running 1-15" Fi BTL [Fully Loaded] with a 1500D Sundown and it's LOUD as for a single sub setup in a custom aero ported box. FlipSid stays in my area and he help build that Explorer with 12-18" Sundown Nightshades. Gave me a demo last week and HOLY never heard bass that loud/move that much pressure in my life. I entered that contest for that 12" Fi Q, hopefully I'll win it, but if not I'm still upgrading my whole system.
  8. Alright cool, just getting more into the car audio culture and learning about this stuff. I've been to a few sound competitions in my area and have heard some CRAZY systems. 4-12's, 4-15's, 2-18's, 12-18's. Next setup: Fi, Sundown, Audioque, or SSA. Not sure yet, but I'll figure it all out.
  9. If I have this right, should be wired like this, correct? Front Left (+) to amp (+) Front Left (-) to amp (-) Front Right (+) to amp (+) Front Right (-) to amp (-)
  10. 4-Ohm impedance for the Pioneers and Kenwoods. 35w each speaker and my amp is 80w @ 4-ohm. little more than RMS - 70w. Should they be okay if I turn the gains all the way down?
  11. Alright, thanks. Just wondering. Started working again and I plan on upgrading my system, but keeping my 2-channel amp to power my front door 6.5's. 6.5" Pioneer, but they get the job done for me, just looking for clarity, not a concert.
  12. I'm wondering, how would I wire my front door speakers to a 2-channel amp? Do I just run them like I'd run subs?
  13. SHops in my area: Rockford Fosgate, Kicker, Pioneer, Orion, Alpine... I tell them about Sundown, Fi, Audioque, DD and all the underground companies. But, they don't want to hear it, but know a little about it. Underground audio > Mainstream audio.
  14. I let my system bang all over the city, only time I turn it down is when I see police/old people/little kids. Sometimes when I play old school music/r&b/Michael Jackson, I'll let it ride...but if f-you b**** is every other word, it's ALWAYS down out of respect. Other than that, I really don't care who hears my music. I'm not an a-hole, but there are other things to worry about in life that my music. No need for this elitist attitude, it's just loud music. If they don't like it, they can roll up windows.
  15. Makes me want to start a project on my Sentra. Niceeeee setup man, bet it sounds clear.

What is your day job? - Grocery. 12. Do you build your own boxes? - No. 13. Whats is your most recent audio addition? - None right now, planning on upgrading everything.
  17. yeahhh, boredom will do that to you, but it's cool.
  18. Love the setup. My friend is running 15" Fi BTL + Sundown 1500D in his '06 Sentra. Beats the hell out of any system he runs against in my general area.
  19. Gotta love a single sub setup that's done right! Bet that bangs. Accord Coupe FTW. Love those.
  20. Niceeeee build log for a first timer. Makes me want to start cutting metal out of my '98 Sentra to do a custom enclosure into the cabin - ported.
  21. nice setup, should get stupid loud.
  22. weapons of mass destruction puts dents and cracks metal.
  23. Older Kicker Solobarics - round version. Older RF/Orion series subs. My friend doesn't have a car, but hooks subs up to his 800w home audio amp and they SLAM.
  24. When your next door neighbor comes to for audio advice. When the neighbor across the street wants you to hook up her 10" JL W3. When you get pulled over by police: not to give you a ticket, but just to see what you have in the trunk. When people come to you to install door speakers. Spend a few minutes before driving just to adjust amps/headunit. When you adjust other people's radio in their car just so YOU can listen how you want to. When people come up to you at gas stations/ask at red lights what you're listening to or how good it sounds. Jammin' Michael Jackson and people ride by/beep and give thumbs up. When you get your mom to sign up on car audio forums to enter contest, hahaha. When you go to car audio shops in your area, not to buy, but just see what's new and give them bass cd's. When you can't STAND driving in stock cars w/ stock speakers, because it's not as good. - I rather drive by Sentra then mom's Tiburon, because of stock system, haha! When you know people by their cars/systems...not their names. LOL. When you know who's driving by your house, just by their muffler/audio set up - most my neighbors in my age group [18-25] all have systems/custom cars. When you do u-turns in the middle of the road, just to go to audio shop. When you do u-turns just to get a demo of the Explorer with 12-18's. When the security/police @ local shopping center stop you every time you ride through - just because of mids/highs. You know more about car audio than what you learned in HS. hahaha. Go to sound competions just to spectate and hang out. When you get to a red light bumpin' and turn it down to see if anybody else is bangin'...then turn it back up. When people just ride by and look @ you crazy from how loud your music is. When people roll their windows up @ red lights/drive up justt a little bit @ red lights, so they can't hear the bang.
  25. Should've turned it up and broke the ice! what are you running in that van? I remember my aunt had a tan caravan. No way she'd put subs in it, haha.
